  1. I was working today and surreptitiously watching snippets of the game every few minutes, and even though we won 5-0, Mads doing the double save was the best bit of individual play I saw.
  2. What. A. Game. Brilliant.
  3. As an England fan (missed this afternoon's game) I miss the scrum halves just hoofing it high all the time for position and everyone else just shuffling between the kicks.
  4. What a game this is for the neutral.
  5. Love to see that. Bravo.
  6. You can't say he hasn't been told before. Fair 2nd yella.
  7. And I'm proved wrong.
  8. Think the French 2nd row might see red after the bunker review.
  9. Whatever school, uni and club rugby did to me as a young man, I did worse to myself with the ale since.
  10. I always imagined that if I had met Carl Weathers, I would have asked him if the CIA had him pushing too many pencils.
  11. Carl Weathers. Apollo Creed.
  12. I don't really know what Avatar The Last Airbender is, and I'm not going to find out, but this geezer appears to be wearing Jürgen Klopp's gnashers round his neck:
  13. Hey it's 2024, Dudes can marry Dudes. Step up.
  14. Disappointed that the "checking badge" meme hasn't had an airing.
  15. Blimey, should have remembered that I had money on 3-1 before the match and was less disappointed than others when their consolation goal went in.
  16. We win 3-0 and only one player has an average mark over 7 ?
  17. In 2013/14 we'd spent over a decade out of the top flight, and the stint in the 3rd tier was within much closer memory, as were heroic failures at the ends of seasons, so it was exciting and fresh to see us, after a long period of decline followed by dashed hopes, dominate a league, with generational attacking talents in Vardy and Mahrez. This time, we were relegated with decent players playing poorly and being managed terribly, throwing away a decade of mostly high performance. After the first few games seeing how it would work out at this level, we have pretty much *expected* to go up, since about September. Going up will almost be a relief, not exhilerating. First time round: "Fook yeah. The promised land." This time round (if we don't stumble) : "Thank fook. Now, where we..."
  18. Looked like Daka fell over, tbh. But who cares? 3 points. TOTL.
  19. We looked better with Yunus on than Praet.
  20. I thought Swansea pressed us at the back better than most teams. Quality told, though.
  21. I grew up on the Saff in the 1970s and 1980s. I wonder how many of the kids in my class at Newry Junior School were conceived in that Capri.
  22. (27 years of insurance and loss adjusting experience here. ) I think it's possible your Insurers might be at it. Unless it is a specific policy requirement to have receipts / serial numbers for every single item (admittedly my recent experience has been mostly with business policies rather than commercial motor policies, but I think that would be a rare policy wording) they would, instead, rely on you providing reasonable proofs of ownership. They usually only decline to indemnify you where you have a claim for items without any proof of ownership / proof of acquisition, where it would be reasonably expected that you should have such proofs. It's reasonable to expect receipts to be held for commercial items for tax/VAT reporting periods (6 years). It is not reasonable to expect receipts held for items a decade old and older. It is not reasonable to expect the meticulous keeping of serial numbers for a decade. Additionally you might have some proof of ownership in the form of evidence of work carried out by you and invoiced by you that could only be done with the stolen kit. Or maintenance records for the claimed items. Or photo / video evidence (even with the items visible on the background). You might not get full replacement prices but if you can show you had it and used it, the Insurers should be giving you *something* towards the stolen kit, rather than simply declining the lot. Depending on the amount at stake, you might be as well to either appoint a Loss Assessor to act for you (they would take a cut of any settlement), or you could submit a written complaint directly to the Insurers' Chief Executive Office (details of this will be in your policy), requesting a review. The "contra proferentem" principle is there to protect the little guy from the big bad insurers, and the Insurers'complaints teams *hate* dealing with complaints about settlement amounts, unless they are on absolutely rock solid ground. Good luck with it.
  23. If you ignore the Klopp announcement, which was not known about when the decision was taken, televising this match was an insanely shitey idea. It was never going to be close fought or exciting. Boo.
  24. On the ball, Ciddy.
