Well obviously I don’t know, but it’s a pretty fair assumption? Makes perfect sense in your opinion maybe.
-
I'm not aware of this. Most transfers will be leaked by agent, player, selling club etc. Drum up more interest or drive the price up - Why wouldn't they? Some will go through quietly, but 'most'?
-
Same with Ndidi. Our club seems to live on nostalgia so were were happy to throw some money at him, even when no one else would.
-
Really? It's a great little video!

I guess selling Kasey for £10m now would cover the first year amortisation of both Soule and O'Riley. Worry about the next instalments later.

Southgate steps down as England manager
James_lcfc replied to foxfanazer's topic in General Football and Sport
A lot of his success has been down to extremely fortuitous draws in tournaments. Yes, I know you make your own luck and can only beat who's in front of you etc etc, but it's still been a big factor. I'd say he's done well in getting the nation behind the national team again, but in terms of individual games, he's probably just done what would have been expected of him as England manger. Especially with such a talented group of players. -
We need both. Really good replacement for KDH plus a really good number 10/rotation option for the wingers would give us a fighting chance this year I reckon. Just might not be possible financially.
-
Yeah, all fair points. Not a meme either - He needs some backing on here as he’s clearly not ‘shit’ as many people like to claim.
-
I know you have the stats ready to post as you’ve done many times before but… Does he pass your eye test? I love his pace and work rate, it just feels like something is missing with him. A lot of his goals felt like scruffy taps ins and he never looked comfortable to me when presented with good chances. He’s very untidy with his touch and passing too. But having said that if Cooper is looking at playing that fast transition style of football he may be a big asset. He’s the sort of player I’d love to prove me wrong though as I can’t help but like him.
-
Well it looks like we definitely want him anyway. Prepare yourself for a season of Matias, Abdul and Stephy firing us into a European position. It's on.
-
Both Sheff Utd and Middlesborough fans thought he was rubbish. Just another one who will be here draining resources until his contract runs out. Awful.
-
You need to realise that everything that happened in the relegation season was down to Rodgers and Rodgers only. The (well paid) players had nothing to do with it and should take no blame. Professional pride and accountability isn't really a thing in football innit.
-
Well it's just an opinion, so you don't have to 'have it'. You may be right due to the nature of the positions, but I maintain that Wilf's performances were as bad or worse.
-
Danny Ward gets the majority of the criticism (which is pretty fair ), but Wilf was worse that season. I guess our hands are tied somewhat, and we need to keep him on for financial reasons. Anyway, I'll stop moaning about it now - Hopefully we don't regret it and we see some of the form from the first half of last season.
-
Never know who to believe with these twitter characters do you. We do seem to be interested though. Anyone else Juve could want? They fancy Soumare? Faes? big Luke Thomas? Take your pick lads!
-
Lots of players are swayed by money, so I have no problem with that. I'd do the same. I disagree on the 'lots of offers and interest' part though - I just don't think he's in as high demand as he maybe thought he would be when choosing not to extend over the years.
-
It's the chance creation that's the key for me personally. I'm happy with any style of play as long as chances are being created. Whether it's a 100 pass build up or a long ball to Brian Deane for Dickov to run on to - Both equally as entertaining to me! It's just when you don't even look like scoring that football can be a real grind, but I guess that happens with all teams regardless of the system being used. Great post btw.
-
Is it just the Cov element that people don't like about him? Watching clips, he's clearly a talented player. Pretty recently back from a year long injury so won't be 100% yet. Only 26 - If he's stays injury free now and gets himself really fit with a good pre-season, I think he'd be a really good signing for someone.

In order to get Chelsea to go up to the figure we wanted for KDH? Seemed obvious to me, but obviously I could have assumed wrong! -

Assumed he was just a PSR fiddle who would just go straight into the U21's and never be seen again. Weird they've done a reveal video and everything. Hopefully he goes on to be a good signing! -
This Not sure I've ever been on the fence as much with a player as I am with VK. He's both impressed and concerned me in equal measure! Young players in a nutshell though I guess.
-
Well a good season in the PL would put his value around £15m wouldn’t it. Not exactly deluded.
-
Well you can sort of understand why people are a bit unhappy with the club at the moment? There are unrealistic, deluded and entitled fans in every fan base to be fair, I don't think we're much worse than others - We just have a brilliant and very active forum full of people posting their opinion! I guess I'm somewhere in the middle - A little concerned to be padding the squad out with a >30yr old looking for his last decent payday, but also realistic that we're cutting our cloth accordingly...especially with squad players.
-
Well it's a football forum, so nothing on here 'matters' does it It's just quite entertaining to get some snippets of info every now and again.
-
True, but it's nice to keep the hope alive though isn't it. Gets you through the Summer.
