Wasn't aware of that, and yeah I guess it could make clubs a bit more hesitant. All signings are gambles though really - £3-4m with low(ish) wages would be quite a small one for a lot of Championship clubs.

Young, POTY and an 18 goal season. Strange they're struggling to flog him at £3-4m. Pretty likely he's been scouted by a lot of clubs at this point as well. Maybe a bit of a red flag? I have no opinion as I can't even be bothered to watch his YouTube clips until there's at least a solid link

Genuinely one of the best keepers in Europe before his injury yet he’s ’nothing special’ and we’ve apparently done really well to get £20m. Same fans are in the Ndidi thread thanking him for his service despite the fact he’s been paid extremely well to be utter dogshit for nearly 4 years! Differing opinions are what make football interesting I guess!

Thought he was a good footballer with a quality left foot. One of the slowest players I’ve ever seen live though - Made Vestergaard look quick which is quite the feat.

Yep. His energy and pressing was really impressive on Sunday. Overall performance was probably average but he can definitely run! Should do OK in the Championship.

£65k/week on a 5 year deal sounds good. Then listen to him talk about how he had offers from PL teams and aboard, but it was an easy decision once he heard of Leicester's interest.

In your opinion maybe. I think he’s way off Mads. Mads can start attacks which is massive in the Championship when you have a lot of the ball. I know it looks like we have no choice so it is what it is…just annoying.

If you had to design a CB in a lab he’d come out looking like Nelson wouldn’t he. Best to start Faes instead.

Really annoying if we lose him now. We’ll be nowhere near as good this season without him.

Their policy has always been to sign players who are at the level above of the current league they're in. ...they have abandoned this based on their signings so far this season

True. I guess £9m doesn't sound a lot if you are desperate to strengthen in central midfield. It's a lot for Ndidi though, which is why he's had to go to Turkey in the end - He was finished at a decent level years ago and still has pretty high wage demands. Considering he was on a free a year ago, this is brilliant business from the club.
