Quite impressed with Chaplin considering he’s had a disrupted pre-season. Actually gives us a bit of presence in the middle despite his size!

£12m for Skipp is outrageous, surely we’re not asking for that. £6m isn’t too far off for Mavididi though, you’d think a club would at least get close to that.

You don’t need a running track to get fit though do you! Lots of pitches at Seagrave to run round if you wanted to put on running sessions. I agree with a lot of people on here though, the players aren’t as fit as they should be - I’d love to know what they’ve been doing fitness-wise over pre-season.

I like the look of him. Still a bit raw but that’s fine given his age. Needs to work on his positioning a bit, but he can go forward well and is good in a 1v1. One of the few players in the team with a bit of physicality as he’s quick and strong. He’s got that wiry build that can be a bit deceiving but he regularly eases players off the ball - Not many in our first 11 can do that at the moment!

Well he hasn’t been credited with an assist so I have no idea where you get your ‘facts’ from!

He wasn’t miles better and he didn’t get an assist! I’m all for bashing BDR, as he is clearly awful, but he at least pressed the ball and linked the play a few times.

No he didn’t. Yes it was. I was expecting him to at least be able to link the play a bit and work hard. He didn’t really do either. I wasn’t being overly critical anyway, just discussing his performance - Hopefully he’ll come good with a bit of time.

He’s never been any good, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. He’ll drop down the leagues if we ever manage to get shot of him.

Not great is he! Looked so slow today as well, especially over the first few yards.

I thought he did pretty well today. He’s a long way off starting based on that though - Looked shattered after 10 minutes!

Thought he was miles off the pace, and it wasn’t a particularly fast-paced game. He’s supposed to at least make a nuisance of himself - Even Bobby pressed better than him when he came on!

Still the only reason why I’ll bother watching the next game. We have two highly thought of wingers from Brighton and Will is better than both of them.

Haha, I don't think so. I spoke to a few locals out there and they all said not to bother coming in July and August as the heat is too much.

Just back from a week in southern Spain and it was exactly like this - I haven't moaned about the weather here since coming back! Always love running abroad, but even at 6:00am it was 25 with a feels like of 33 and 99% humidity...not much fun! I don't know how people would get through the Summer there without aircon as the heat is just ridiculous.

People have completely lost patience with the club now and Martin is going to bear the brunt of that unfortunately. Only the first game of the season today but it was a massive game for him - Desperately need a good start and to go on a bit of a run. We have a ‘soft’ team and how we do early on will make or break us. Performance and result were concerning today.
