  1. I understand what you mean (apart from about Ratcliffe, the guys a charlatan). It’s galling though that Man U’s owners can make way more mistakes than even ours but there current situation is only as low as they can go basically.
  2. Part of it is meant to be built using ship containers which one of the Quatari stadiums was also.
  3. They also spent a lot on others. Was it 17 players in the end? It was basically throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. It’s worked short term for them and probably long term if they get Champions League too. They also have to get rid of a lot of deadwood that didn’t stick too eventually.
  4. I mean, what’s the betting the half time gets extended? I’m sure Infantino can see the $$$$ signs over the half time ads already. If it makes FIFA money, they will do it.
  5. Trump’s golf courses.
  6. Came on this thread to see if anyone had mentioned Congerton yet. Took years for Hanover and Sunderland to recover from his periods in charge of recruitment. You might argue they never have. Why Rodgers trusted him so much, I’ve no idea. We’ll see where Atalanta are in a few years, though hopefully he wasn’t there long enough to inflict lasting damage. He’s now (probably) earning shitloads in Saudi.
  7. That Millwall keeper chickened out of going for it with his head so went studs first. Amazing how some are trying to defend him online and saying he won’t the ball.
  8. Bolt, Cristiano Ronaldo, Cantona a few that come to mind. Obviously every boxer. You’re right about do the talking on the race track and it’s up to him to do it now.
  9. Yeah, loads to be honest. You probably need a bit of arrogance to get to the top. You also have to back it up though. We’ll see for this one.
  10. There’s nothing in that statement that’s untrue though. If you’re the only ever black driver ever you literally are unique and given you’ve beaten unimaginable odds before why not beat much lower odds again? He’ll get the chance to back the words up anyway.
  11. They had a stat on the BBC live text last night that Leicester have never won an away Premier League game on a Thursday. It was only five games though and four of them were at Anfield. (Obviously six now.)
  12. It’s mad how some want even less experience. Like they’ve not learned from RVN at all.
  13. The one bright spot of last night was I thought no broadcaster would touch us with a barge pole…. Newcastle on a Monday night and Liverpool 4.30pm on a Sunday. https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/new-dates-for-newcastle-and-liverpool-games
  14. Ungrateful. Vestgaard scored one only a couple of hours ago (feels longer).
  15. You can’t quit if you don’t turn up in the first place.
  16. And our players are paying tribute to him by not breaking sweat either.
  17. It’s usually five years. You can also do a bare minimum of work that means you could then argue you’ve started. Even if it’s just rearrange a car park a bit.
  18. It can’t be too far wrong. After 100 cumulative points in the first 20-team season in 95/96 in 96/97 the relegated trio got 113 points. The next season, when Bolton, Barnsley and Crystal Palace were relegated with a combined 108 points. Even the historically shite 07/08 Derby side ‘helped’ the promoted trio to 82 cumulative points that season. This year the promoted trio carrying on at the same rate would get a combined 62.1 points. Last year they got 66. Thanks. Yeah I probably quoted them wrong and that would make more sense.
  19. There was an interesting bit on the Guardian Football Weekly on Monday (maybe where the tweet comes from but with a more sensationalist slant) that since the division went down to 20 teams, on average the cumulative total of the teams that have gone up is seven points less every year. The gap continues to get bigger. People cite that three teams stayed up three years ago but there will be a few outliers and one of those was Forest with the lowest points total to stay up ever.
  20. I think the agreement is that when India host the next couple of world cricket events (Women’s World Cup, though Pakistan are yet to qualify, and Men’s T20 World Cup) Pakistan can play all their games at a neutral venue including any against India. Given there’s precedents of team’s refusing to travel to countries being made to forfeit games in previous ICC competitions it still makes a mockery of it all though.
  21. To add to this, we don’t know how many players didn’t join because of the threat of the points deductions. Not sure selling our best player and losing the manager before the season made us look the most attractive destination either.
  22. Is that for us to score?
  23. And now the astronaut has called him out for lying he says he wants to destroy the ISS earlier than planned. It’s probably the pinnacle of human engineering and international cooperation. Absolute moronic man babies in charge of America. We’re not even two months into four years of this.
