I like the way people think Dyche would automatically drop to a level he’s not managed at for 10 years for only a six month contract and whatever pittance PSR could let us cobble together (given I presume we’re now paying three other managers). Yep, this. I get why fans focus on going forward and the limitations with the team in that aspect, but the defence is and has always been the biggest problem. If you can’t see out being 3-1 up at home when are you going to defend well enough to win games?

To be fair he did only win three league titles, make 359 appearances and scored 55 goals for us plus 50 caps for Wales who he reached the semi finals of Euro 2016 with. No idea why he’s so well thought of.

It’s not an odd response. Amazingly I haven’t watched much of his time in Southampton and would rather judge players over a number of games. Controversial I know. But you’d rather be proven right than do that.
