  1. This last bit has to relate to a bid being received for KDH. Brighton have also had a nice gap in their fixtures to you know, facilitate time to discuss transfers between the various parties within the club.
  2. Richie Partridge?
  3. Clearly need to win for the prize money and hope we get a big TV attracting tie in the next round!
  4. £30 million’s a lot in a window where most clubs have spent nothing so far. Additionally, Brighton would be a tempting move for the player - back in the Prem, European football, wage rise no doubt. If we suddenly get linked with 4/5 other midfielders this weekend, fear the worst I guess.
  5. Look, maybe your emotions don’t manifest in tears. But football is a truly emotional love affair that effects our mental states. For some Liverpool fans, Klopp will be the only manager they’ve ever known. He’s been part of their life for almost a decade, week in, week out across each season. The announcement was sudden and will have come as a shock - so of course Liverpool fans are going to be a mix of sad, grateful and full of wonderful memories that he’s helped bring them. So if anyone wants to judge those Scousers that do show some raw emotion in the form of online (or real) tears in the hope of gaining some non-redeemable internet rep points, fine. But don’t pretend that it’s not normal to feel emotional when events happen around things someone really cares about.
  6. Is it? There’s been plenty of posts on here “I’m in tears 😭 “ and that’s just from when Junior Lewis was playing.
  7. You never felt tears of joy? That’s a shame.
  8. He’s going to be a tough act to follow, especially as I could see Salah leaving to Saudi in the summer too. In some way it could be sensible for Liverpool to go with a left field, easily expendable choice first so that if it works, great, if not get rid but also reduce expectations.
  9. Last game at Filbert Street? Relegation to League One? DEENEY!!! Winning the Championship? The great escape? Winning the Premier League? Nessun Dorma? First time we heard the Champions League Music at the KP? 27th October 2018? Winning the FA Cup? Football’s an emotional game. If you’ve maintained a dry eye through all of this then maybe that says more about your own character.
  10. I assume we will use our one remaining loan slot before the deadline - but that this will end up being done close to the end of the window once Prem teams know what they’re doing with their squads.
  11. So does Hamza play / make the squad? And will the Sensi transfer complete in time or are we going to let Inter fully dictate when he joins us?
  12. He’s certainly unlucky he played for us in both cups, given he’d probably been on the bench tonight and got a run out tonight (and possibly on Friday).
  13. You could argue that within that sequence it’s disappointing that Faes plays a defence splitting pass to McAteer that gets him in behind Ipswich’s back line, only for Kasey to not really have any option other than to cut back inside. Even the goal at the end, we get in behind, have numbers in the box, but it’s only their defender that attacks the 6 yard box. I personally felt we didn’t threaten Ipswich enough in that first half - they were very, very passive - and part of that seemed down to a lack of attacking plans in the final third.
  14. Are we sure Enzo knows this though?
  15. It’s because 50 pages are required before he signs. You know standard Foxestalk / Leicester City signing rules.
  16. We have a problem here. Ideally, you’d want to give KDH the week off. Possibly Winks too. But our midfield without those two looks very, very weak. I’d also say throwing this game, making it no win in 3, then heaps pressure on the Swansea game.
  17. He’d be a lovely 10 when you’re on top. He’s not a midfielder though.
  18. What seemed bizarre tonight with our midfield is how they allowed the game to get stretched. When Ipswich are sitting with a back 5, playing with two 8’s is fine. When you’re 1-0 up with 10 to go, that’s possibly the time to say, let’s only push one and sit two. Yet we continued to play with abandon, leaving space on the transition. We continued to try and invert the fullback, instead of keeping our shape. I’ve praised Enzo for how well coached we’ve looked when playing his system - but that second half in particular we looked decidedly uncoached.
  19. You still need to change your midfield at some point. Most teams now have pretty much set changes at set times - and it makes sense. It allows players to manage their efforts and allows fresh effort and focus. Frustratingly, our squad make-up at present doesn’t allow for that. Sensi will be handy no doubt, but I’d say someone like Brownhill is the bigger priority.
  20. McKenna showed how you use subs there. The games about levels - there’s 5 subs available to help you keep those levels.
  21. Yuunns - great player technically, but not someone you bring on to protect a lead. Problem is - we don’t have that kind of midfielder on the bench and it’s pretty much guaranteed you will want that sort of option every week from about 65 minutes. 😡
  22. Kept the game far too open. You can go with two holding midfielders at times. Naive.
