Huddersfield (H) 4-1 - New Years Day - Post-Match Thread

It seems Enzo is a good judge of player. Not every player can hit the ground running and most will be judging against what they’ve seen in those positions before - which are two very, very good players for the level in KDH and N’didi. -
They’ve got some time to regroup and figure out how to play without Hurst.
-
@Super_horns - your boys had a crazy game today! 31 shots for Plymouth! Putting your 18 shots to shame 😂
-
What is starting to become very clear - not only is Enzo shrewd when it comes to tactics and coaching them, he’s got a cracking eye for a player too!

That 10 + 13 points yes? -
I have no idea, he was shit an hour ago 😂 Lets just say our manager seems to have a good eye for players.
-
He’s probably read the forums all week.
-
I suspect a lot of his closest team mates have left for Afcon - imagine the changing room feels very different.
-
I can tell Casadei is getting reasonably involved in the game because he’s the one getting the most mentions in here. Heard nothing about Winks, our back 5 and even Fatawu.

The three that have come in need to build confidence… the more minutes they get under their belt the better they will become.

The "do they mean us?" thread pt 4

I don’t know… see I think Rodgers lasting legacy amongst fans (or the lack of it) may ultimately come down to a lack of class. For comparison, consider Ranieri who will never be forgotten and always be fondly remembered, because ultimately the guy is genuine and a class above. Rodgers on the other hand has always had that used car salesman / estate agent type feel in terms of personality. In fact when you look at other much loved managers in our history - the likes of O’Neill, Adams, Pearson - many not half as successful, you can start to understand this more. Perhaps the irony is that despite his love of his teams having this particular characteristic, Rodgers himself is severely lacking in character - making him a difficult person to warm to, which will always have an impact on how people judge his level of success. -
6 or 18 month loan?
-
It’s only ourselves that can stop us really isn’t it - and it would be one mighty implosion if it were to happen. Mean the other thing - for us to not go up automatically would require not 1 but 2 teams to go on an unbelievable run alongside that implosion.
-
That was me… I’ve since realised everyone’s shite in this league
-
Wow! That is something 😂 I can see why though, I wouldn’t want to hand him his p45!
-
Your Hornets 🐝 look a bit in no-man’s-land at the moment? Any danger of stringing a run together or is it a case of Jekyll and Hyde performances?
-
Checking Southampton’s run of form… they have played a lot of dross in a row. Plymouth, Swansea, QPR, Blackburn… draws vs Coventry & Watford, Cardiff, Bristol City (when they were being crap), Huddersfield (draw), West Brom, Millwall, Birmingham, Preston (draw), Hull, Rotherham (draw), Stoke, Leeds. Mean don’t get me wrong, you still have to win the games, but that is a kind run of fixtures. Unbelievably mind, their fixtures in January look favourable too!
-
Ref has to drive home from Ipswich in an already delayed game - why does he want to make his return trip any harder 😂
-
They were truly awful tonight, just a complete lack of ideas, intent, attacking patterns, will to make runs. I wouldn’t say West Brom were particularly good either.

Enzo’s comments interesting - didn’t think he’d drop Nacho, he’s not the type to be reactionary. -
Ha - Leeds are shit!
-
That’s 8 points clear 😃 Happy New Year!
-
QPR teasing the **** out of us too I see!
-
Leeds really showing how hard it is to play against a compact block. All the ball, but hardly threatened.
-
Come on West Brom - get a second so I can leave early and beat the traffic!
