Fair point, but I do know 90 year olds who are ridiculously wealthy. I can’t see the justification of them receiving free stuff. They manage perfectly well when it comes to booking exotic cruises, I’m sure they can manage the process of paying for a license.

Makes no sense to me that thousands of millionaire over 75s get a free tv licence.

That’s a tough call to make, you’re assuming if we had Rodgers we would have signed Pereira, Evans, Maddison and Tielemans. I agree that Rodgers is a better coach and man manager of our squad than Puel, but he has an at best average record in the transfer market.

Funny old world we live in. You can fess up to using illegal class A drugs as an adult and still run for Prime Minister, but a footballer gets disciplined and fined for offensive opinions he shared on twitter as a child.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the break between the end of the season and this game. Getting back to full speed after not playing for three weeks is very difficult. I think it was borne out in the Champions League final which was of dreadful quality in my opinion.
