  1. No one significant will invest. You aren't getting a return any time soon. A waste of time continuing to believe this rubbish will do anything other than drain money.
  2. Even that top three has one-sided home series. We also haven't won in the Carribean for 20 years. Seeing us lose 4-1 in India and 4-0 in Australia again? No thanks. We got slaughtered in the same way these also rans do.
  3. Went to Norfolk v Northants today (Tom New and John Sadler being the respective coaches qualifies for this thread ) and had a great time. No gimmicks, no boundary/ wicket music, no Sweet Caroline; just a good game (560 runs between them) in front of a relaxed, fully focused crowd. Bring the Minor Counties back into the main game in a knockout cup- an absolute disgrace they were taken out originally.
  4. Graham Potter, it could've been you
  5. She is a national embarrassment.
  6. Nonsensical decision. If Anderson has a modest summer then you say maybe it is time then, or he may go himself. But you don't retire someone after one match in a symbolic gesture.
  7. It takes itself far too seriously. It started out as a fun, Saturday evening show where famous people from around the celebrity sphere tried something vastly different from their norm. It then became too big, too serious and lost it's original reason for creation. All this talk of "journeys" etc, ridiculous. I gave up after the John Sergeant debacle. Utter madness how it got so "important".
  8. Real mixed bag there.
  9. Bit of an issue when your best bowler is the coach
  10. We could well be heading that way under this ownership. We will achieve little in the future because this regime will take us there. A few years ago we were in a stronger position to attract interest and investment. King Power shouldn't be the be all and end all.
  11. Genuinely think he wanted to stay with us until he retired. Don't think he:s got over leaving.
  12. Southgate did well enough to help us forget the parallel universe where Allardyce is in for at least four years. Had a glimpse in one game how awful his football would have been. Throw in his obnoxious attitude and I think we would have continued the dismal performance in major tournaments with more fans turning away.
  13. Similar to Rodgers' reign at Leicester. Did well, should probably have done better but did well enough to make it tough for the next manager to emulate. 2021 was the best chance, 2022 was good football wise but this one looked one too far despite reaching the final. Dragged England out of the dire decade of 2006-2016 and made the team closer to the fans (and each other) but ultimately I think we are a trophy short.
  14. The next six games are against Ireland, Finland and Greece. After that it will be World Cup qualifying. A great chance to give Watkins a run, Palmer, Konsa, Toney, maybe even other keepers a go. Mix it up more.
  15. England have been underwhelming throughout. Quite remarkable how much better the subs have been than the starters. I said in the match thread that in 2021 we played some good football, beat good sides and created much more and would have been worthy winners. This one, despite reaching the final, hasn't grabbed in the same way.
  16. I think we would have been worthy winners in 2021. Not in this one.
  17. We did well to get to 1-1, really. Kane was a massive hindrance. In tight games you need a mobile striker. Morata wasn't a real threat but linked very well.
  18. Fans are fully invested in England for six/ seven games every two years. Leicester will have around 85 in that time. You will always be closer and more involved with your club. It usually isn't anything against England.
  19. All of this is being done whilst the relative strength of being a Premier League club is present and demand is higher. It will just take a spell of Football League decline, which certainly isn't out of the question, and the interest will decrease. We are a well supported club but not too long ago empty seats were large in number. Easy for the top clubs with guaranteed Premier League football and worldwide fanbases to make their presence felt and not suffer. For the rest, it is a precarious game.
