When Wilf is playing well, he’d get into most teams, even now. A period a few years ago, he was destined for a big sale. That drop in form really came as a surprise and annoying it was alongside so many others falling off a cliff at the same time.

In the early 90s, I’m sure they use to do half time interviews on the Big Match Live on ITV. It does feel a weird time to interview a manager or a player - nothings decided, and if the emotion/adrenaline can lead to stupid, crazy, weird comments at full time, it will only be amplified at half time.

I was thinking the same. I don’t think he did badly. Granted, I haven’t watched it back and sometimes “in the game” it can be a blur but he was up against Amad who was getting a good amount of the ball while he was on. Won some battles, lost others. Generally did ok.
