Forest were better than I expected tbf.
-
Moyes would make us organised and stable but people would moan that his football is boring.
-
I was yes, just corrected my post. I thought I remember seeing it after the game. You know, I saw a lot of teams miss one on ones against us last season. Coventry should have beaten us at our place. But nobody puts it down to “luck”. Nobody said we were “lucky” in those games. Ironically OP who I quoted ended up posting about wanting Enzo out last season. Now wants Cooper out. Probably wanted Pearson out.
-
I may have got that wrong then but we had the better chances (Vardy missed a one on one). Spurs were trying to walk the ball in and might have had more shots but none of them were dangerous. Saying they should have had 5 or 6 is ridiculous. If it wasn’t for the injury, which killed the game, I think we would have gone onto win it. That was one of our better performance second half. The issue for me is that we seem to play in halves.

Pep.

Same. In fact I’ve been a big critic of Faes during his time here but I don’t think him and Okali have been too bad together. Full backs need sorting, or we need better ones, because every opposition players beat our fullbacks easily.
-
“Luck” everything luck is that right? You do realise teams create and miss chances a lot not just against us. Spurs game for example. “They should have been 5 up”. From what? They didn’t really have clear cut chances, in fact our XG (which everyone loves to quote now) was higher than Spurs that game. If anybody deserved to win it was us. Southampton last week, awful but not the second half. We deserved to win the game in the end. I can accept criticism and how he and the players deserved it last night but putting everything down to luck is incorrect. Last night won’t live “long in the memory” either. I’ve seen far worse performances against Forest. Including pre season games is ridiculous too, I’ve watched Pearson teams beaten easily by the likes of Kettering and Shrewsbury.
-
Yeah, I don’t really get the obsession with him not being at games.
-
Forest full backs were good. Had our wingers in their pockets. We might see a different Fatawu performance against Ipswich.
-
I hate it: Okali did it first half. I’d rather them just hit the ball out of play. Once it bounces the ball is there for the opposition.
-
Hearing the opposition sing our managers name was horrid. I know Wednesday sang a lot for Pearson but at least it didn’t include him “hating” us.

Probs because he got lobbed by a header. -
Imagine being fan owned with the posts seen on here

Gets beat by any opposition winger we come up against.

Our players are a disgrace. Local derby and they look they don’t care. I can’t stand Yates but at least he shows passion and determination.

Holloway is back in the football league, in the West Country, appointed as Swindon manager.

haha well I'm hoping we don't ever play in that competition again! You don't realise how good you've got it at times though. Two 5th place finishes, Europe and 1 major Cup trophy win. Unbelievable. So easy to say "it'll be us again one day" but you only have to look at the likes of Leeds. 20 years now since they were a top 4 club and 30 years since they won anything.
-
No, I said it before, I don't think I'll see us finish top 6 (and win a major trophy) again.

I wouldn't take what PA systems at football grounds broadcast so seriously. -
Honestly yeah I can see when we win and don't deserve too. Likewise when we lose and don't deserve too. Bournemouth were unlucky against us but that's how it goes isn't it. The other week Fulham missed chance after chance at Manchester City, came away with a defeat and deep down I think Pep knew that which is why he went and spoke to Traore. It's how it goes. But, you know, I think second half against Spurs was good and without the injury which slowed the game down I do think we'd have gone on and won that. People always quote XG nowadays and that game ours was higher than Spurs. We showed fight at Southampton to come back just as we did at Arsenal. Shame about the Arsenal result but not many teams will go there and score two goals, never mind score two to get back into the game. The Palace result was worse but, stupid mistakes cost us the three points. For me, at the end of the day, we've played 8 games and with that three top 6 teams. The only game I look back at with regret currently is Everton but, look, they went to Ipswich last week and won 0-2. Cooper wouldn't have been my choice either and I think if he does keep us up then I'd like the board to show some ambition and go for a better manager. We all know that won't happen though. But right now, I am okay with 9 points. It should have been 11 if you consider the Palace game but that's how football goes. Tonight against Forest will be a tough game as they're good defensively but I'd like to think we can get something from tonight and from Ipswich too next week.

I hate the terms "fluke" and "luck" in football. What are we fluking? On Saturday first half was pathetic. Second half Cooper changed it and we turned it around. We come from 2 down to win 2-3 away from home in the top flight. I cannot remember the last time I said that. All this "he's lost the players" yet they showed fight I haven't seen in a long long time. There are games where you win and you deserve to lose. There are games you lose where you deserve to win. This happens to every single team in the Country. Yet the biggest critics seem to think it only applies to us. But even if we are "fluking" wins then it's good enough for me. I just want us to stay up because I didn't think we would. Not to long ago the geniuses on here were saying how Ipswich are going to finish above us, how they have a much better manager than us but oh look they haven't won a game yet and every time I watch MOTD they look awful.

I hate people re-writing history. If you're not counting Forest's achievements then you're not counting any achievement in those periods then? Man Utd won it in and look at the teams they played. In that period Forest won practically everything so they were clearly a good side. I see people knocking our achievement of winning the PL, when you compare the league then to the three quality sides today (Man City/Arsenal/Liverpool) and it's frustrating. People have to realise football changes over time. -

That's true actually. Got loads round me that complain about opposition players going down (even if it is a foul by us) yet as soon as we make a foul it's "refs are out for us" etc. -

Forest are like Man City though. A couple of decisions our way and they will think the referee is against them.
