He's always had the odd moment of brilliance, the type that turns up once every three games. Could never get my head around people hyping him up so much. That said, he needs a better manager to put an arm around him and actually coach him.

We're 5 points off 6th place with two very winnable home games coming up. We don't need a rebuild to get promoted this season, this squad should be good enough to be pushing top 6. I think you only have to look at how our opposition tomorrow managed to progress through the football league while having no ground, fans boycotting, and no money. Probably the best example in recent years but lots of clubs do okay while being ran badly, Blackburn finished 7th last season (maybe would have been top 6 had Eustace not walked out for Derby), West Brom managed three top 10 finishes including the play offs in 23/24 (I know they were sold mid way during that season).

I've been saying this all season. For some reason the same people will not put any blame on the manager despite him clearly not being good enough. A decent manager can mask over a poorly run club.
