Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Fox 4 Life replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
It talks about the 2 breaches yes but the scenario is unusual as we should have got it last season but were not a premier league club, and had the court cases to block the EFL from doing anything. I suppose my point is what is different, in we are now looking at a breach for the year we were an EFL club but why do the prem have the power to punish us when the EFL didn't? -

https://www.footballinsider247.com/leicester-city-to-be-hit-by-devastating-double-points-deduction-blow-sources/ 2 in one season would be brutal, is this because our last one was in essence deferred as we were in the championship? -
I saw a report somewhere that Marseille didn't want to pay his astronomical wages, assume we offered him a payrise and here we are!

Ignorance? You know as much as I do about this, which is nothing. Clearly it was tongue in cheek but the bottom line is we will breach for the period ending 30th June so that is more charges and potentially by the EFL if we go down, who will throw the book at us. Other teams are finding creative ways to get around this, all our rivals, but there appears to be nothing going on from Leicester. Based on Rudkin being in charge whilst getting to this mess, it is not “Rudkin Washing” to assume he does not have the skillset to get us back on track. I appreciate he is one man but he is the DOF and gets paid a pretty penny to do that role, we need someone who can make things happen not just cruise along and hope for the best. -

By 1 point in the end, we were horrendous at times and that football would have been a disaster in the prem without significant investment.
-
The 4m is his release clause, not his salary.
-
Could this be a smokescreen to hurry Potter up in making a decision?
-
I wonder if Potts is waiting to see what the deduction is before committing.
-
Surely if he goes it will be before the end of June to help balance the books?
-
where has the Cooper stuff come from?
-
You haven't factored in the complete system change and how long it will take them to adapt. I already read something about him not letting Enzo F go to the Olympics as he sees him as the key cog in his system so needs him to do a full preseason with the squad.
-
I read Sarri isn't interested and waiting for a better opportunity. Not keen on him anyway. Corberan or Potter would be ideal.
-
Isn't De Zerbi leaving Brighton as he wants a bigger job? Why on earth would he come here given everything that is going on.
-
Hope he does well, he's not a bad guy and has his heart in the right place, loves football so all the best at Plymouth
-
Of course he would go let's not disillusion ourselves, Chelsea are still a big 6 club with unlimited funds for now, the salary will be ridiculous. No brainer for enzo
-
And he would leave Brentford for Leicester why?

LCFC 0-2 Blackburn. Bring on the trophy

On 22 March 2024 Leicester City Football Club announced they had commenced urgent legal proceedings against the EFL and the Premier League. This followed the Club’s referral to an independent Premier League Disciplinary Commission for an alleged breach of the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (P&S), ending in financial year 2022/23. The Club had also been placed under an EFL registration embargo, in accordance with Profitability & Sustainability Rule 2.10.1, after filing its 2023/24 P&S calculation. One element of the Club’s legal proceedings involved an application to a League arbitration panel under the EFL Regulations in which it accused the EFL, amongst other things, of acting ‘unlawfully by conspiring with the Premier League to use unlawful means and to procure or induce a breach of contract by the Premier League’ in relation to its proceedings against the Club. The Club made an application for an interim injunction to prevent the EFL from imposing a sporting sanction in the current 2023/24 season. Leicester City sent no letter before action and issued the proceedings without notice. The core issue in question was whether the EFL has the ability under its Regulations to apply a points deduction in its competition if ordered by a Premier League Disciplinary Commission. Having taken legal advice, the EFL has confirmed to all parties that whilst it would want to respect any decision of a Premier League Disciplinary commission (and vice versa) to deduct points in the EFL, it does not have the power under the Regulations as currently drafted. On the basis of that confirmation, the League Arbitration Panel held that the Club’s application for an interim injunction was neither necessary nor appropriate. The League Arbitration Panel dismissed the Club’s application accordingly. Click here to read the decision. It remains a matter for Leicester City to comply with the P&S rules in all circumstances. In accordance with the League’s established processes, the EFL will continue to apply the P&S rules to ensure all Clubs meet their financial obligations so the competition can continue to operate in a fair and consistent manner. -
Even if they do it doesn't matter, we aren't winning 2 let alone 4 of the remaining games.

Even the way we are approaching FFP is pure arrogance, we didn't comply yet we are goading everyone, the irony is we will be in the champ next season and they will take us to the ****ing cleaners and rightly so.
