Moments before this he was smiling Then the photographer said "Madders did a lot of this didn't he?? Do you still speak" "Not really... " Ha, I've just noticed the laces are little ropes! 10/10 for detail.

These 2 are the absolute pits. West brom wasting time in the last 5-10 mins of the half when 2-1 down was astounding

Anyone else find it entirely believable that Rudkin would drop 75k a week on Coady in the championship?
-
Assuming he has no major setbacks, I'd be shocked if Sammy isn't getting regular pitch time by March/April.
-
Coady stats tell the story he's a failed CM that isn't really a very good CB. I genuinely believe people's opinions on him are based on reputation and nothing to do with judgement of his actual ability. For comparison here is another CB who played in the same team as Coady

WHAT?! This is a wild post.

Ahh I follow now mate haha. I really don't like Hamza in that position but I think weighed up against the opposition and not wanting to break another defender. Its probably a logical shout Part of me thinks, just shift Hamza out lcb and let Ricardo play in his strongest role

Vesty is statistically miles ahead of Coady in defensive attributes. Which is unbelievable considering how poor he had been for us. Coadys reputation is pretty mad considering hes been binned off by an average and then a poor Premier league team. Top notch bloke but I really don't understand the hype around him as a defender.
-
Vestergaard is far and away the better defender so I assume him.
-
Well, if the top brass are doing their jobs right they'll already have a list of replacements drawn up in the likely event he moves on in the next couple of years.

Just dipping in to say that so far I am enjoying Enzo a hell of a lot. Not one red flag for me so far. He's an absolute breath of fresh air. The big test will be come on our first downturn of form though, you only see the true make up of a person when times are tough. Not getting too carried away as I was smitten with Brendan till 2020 I love that while we have a system, the players do have freedom to try different things out, if they see a ball on they will go direct. It's absolute levels above the predictable sideways and backwards stuff that Rodgers was churning out

Vesty wide left seems like a recipe for disaster, assuming whoever on the right for Stoke has a pair of functioning legs

Leicester win. Rodgers takes another beating in europe. What a night! -
The most impressive thing is that Enzo has got Ndidi fit again. Last season it looked to everyone like he was absolutely done physically. He still screws up passes and misses incredibly obvious balls. What him and KDH offer in terms of ability to get up and down the pitch and desire to consistently get into advanced positions means that by sheer weight of probability that they'll both end up creating and getting on the end of chances. The work that the two of them get through is absolutely key to the way we play. Nice to see him playing with a smile on his face and being a nuisance to the opposition again.
-
Gonna go out on a limb and predict a home win.
-
Well, we can definitely say safely that Enzo doesn't rate Nelson, for him not to be in the squad despite the massive shortage of defenders and including a striker on the bench that we will never play. If we don't score early we could see 85%+ possession here

First time I've been a bit dubious. Slight concern that it's overexerting Ricky and JJ. Got to give him the benefit of the doubt atm though as he's managed both of their returns excellently so far.

Suspended..5 yellows in 9 games

Absolute banger this, saw them in Sheffield last month and they were fantastic, big hopes for these in the next few years.

It's incredibly emotive to be fair, it's going to upset certain demographics more than others so I totally get your standpoint mate. It's drunken stupidity and incredibly hurtful. We just have to be careful. I've seen his number shared on twitter, people will be contacting his work trying to get him sacked and messaging his family. It just always ends up being a witch hunt and tbh the people jumping on the bandwagon are just as bad. They justify it by going "well he did the bad thing first" A fine or maybe 100 hours charity work would probably be fitting, I'm no judge or expert I'm just making it up as I go along lol. After the punishment though, you want the lad to come out the other end a better person and a line drawn under it if there is genuine remorse.

Ohhh okay, this is the part I missed cheers. I thought the uproar on someone just screenshotting a group chat was well over the top. Actually doing that in person at a game is pretty mental. The guy definitely needs to get himself to a therapist and figure out how he's got to a point where he think that's some top notch banter. Social media seems to be quite rife with 16-25 year old's struggle to tell the difference between dark humour and being a dick. Saying that, grief chanting has always happened for at least as long as I've followed football, so it's not a new thing. Football will always be a magnet for societies morons. I always feel like the reaction is massively OTT on these things mind. All that needs is genuinely sincere apology from the guy a ban till the end of the season as punishment. Not a fan of how it just ends up being a competition about who can be most outraged. People with no stake in it seem to want the person's life to basically be unlivable.

1.23 games a week

Feels like it's not really a prediction if you wait till half way through the season. All or nothing baby! If we perform to the expected levels then that's what I'd be expecting. If there was another club in our position and they said they'd expect to average 2pts per game assuming no injury crisis, I'd be in agreement with them.
-
We need 76 points from 37 games. A shade over 2 points a game which you'd probably say should be about par if the squad remains relatively intact and we don't lose key players. I really don't think that's too wild at this stage. Working on the assumption that Enzo has an elite mindset and we don't lose bodies left and right, 100 seems a perfectly fair shout. Spending roughly 50-60 million a year on wages compared to most teams spending 5-15. It's a fair expectation as well. Keeping the motivation up in the likely event a massive gap opens up between us and 3rd is our biggest danger. Full prepared to come back to this thread in 7 months time either smug as hell or tail between my legs
