Just catching the end of this, i'm confused. Has the guy been posting offensive stuff on public forums or is it literally just him drunkenly chatting s**t in a private whatsapp group?
-
Agreed, Enzo seems to be managing them both pretty well so far, so expect he'll get it right.

Unless we suffer a massive injury crisis, this squad should genuinely be hitting 100+ points. We're basically the Man City of this league and one of our main rivals is managed by an absolute clown. I think someone was right above, our toughest opponent will be our own mental strength and will to keep winning when it all feels so straight forward Luckily for us, our manager seems to have extremely high standards and I can't see him letting them slip. Our previous manager would be too busy admiring how incredibly talented he is.
-
Sacking him and going down was the absolute worst case scenario. Saying that, he and his fans would have still found a raft of excuses to absolve him of blame
-
We will wipe the floor with these. Results so far flatter them

Hard to believe we got outplayed by these about 7 months ago. What a difference a manager can make.
-
Still probably 15-20 mins of game time left with the stoppages this half. Keep focused fellas.

If you move your head side to side slowly it'll just be like him sauntering with the ball

Ended up being pretty boring after 15 mins once we realised they would give our cbs all the time they want. Thought we looked fairly sloppy overall. Poor defending and a fantastic bit of work by Vardy aside, weve not made enough of the positions we've got ourselves into. Expect Blackburn will come and press us higher 2nd half. Hopefully we come out with a bit more zip in our step.

@StriderHiryu This is the game I was hoping for! Gimme this over two teams trying to strangle a game to death

Every time I see our bench I cant help but laugh. The strength in depth we have is absurd. Really looking forward to this one. Hopefully a good open game

Players can't deal any more with this overload."

Lets call it a day. Let the lads play some chess and we can watch that Schedule really hasn't changed at all as long as I've known football to be around. The german opinion is so god damn weird when it comes to English football. -

Wondered why this was top. Apparently we've got a set of people thinking that someone getting injured during a game is related to a training ground curse

Haha so many old names doing the rounds I feel sorry for any clubs that fall into the trap of signing a name. None of them do well.
-
Contrary to the above I thought that we looked very tidy against a team that's dominating the level above us. Unfortunately we have a keeper that turns into a ghost if the opposition decides to have a shot on target.

The difference between league football and non league is that the quality of players you bring in is pretty much directly related to the quality of the managers contacts. It's no surprise that Banbury, Leiston and Mickleover currently have done well. Whing, Eadie and McGrath, all 3 have used their contacts from the pro game to bring in a mix of experience and youth from the professional game. Whether it be through loans or free agents. I remember at Coalville when Stevens first left, his assistant Jimmy Gray took over. Lovely bloke and managed a few good results. Then he started changing the squad and signing players he knew, mainly from below our level. All of a sudden we're getting smashed every week. The low point, losing 3-0 to a Brigg side that had lost 10-0 in the previous week Tommy Brookbanks then came in and his contacts were better and we started signing players that could get us up the league into the play off positions. Looks like Leese spent his managerial career just north of London, so guessing his contacts in the area aren't the strongest.

His first move when he got to Scunthorpe was to move their training to Ilkeston's 4G pitch. He said something along the lines of "it's easy access from the M1 and means we won't have to pay to put players up in accommodation that don't live locally"

I attribute that cup run to our congested fixture list, so it's lost a lot of appeal to me haha. Yeah, such a shame as he was having an incredible game by the sounds of it and looking at the highlights. Definitely no appealing that one, it was really stupid.
-
Haha! I wish I still had photoshop on my laptop, I'd have had fun with that He's got to be hard with a hair cut like that right? Buzzing for tomorrow's game, I hope we bomb out of the trophy but well up for another FA Cup run. Also just realised Cookie is gonna be able to play tomorrow which is a big boost. Saw we had over 700 sold as of this morning. Hopefully upto the 1k mark for tomorrow.

Aye, all word of mouth of course, as you say. That's some serious mismanagement of money if it's even close to being the truth.
-
From what I've heard their budget is 12k p/w which is obscene if anywhere close to being true.

Takes about 20 seconds to enter the data, you don't even have to put your real name in. I make up details whenever I do it for away games It's annoying you can't create one account and then buy tickets for all clubs. I think it was rushed out during covid. It all works fairly well just a minor inconvenience when filling out the form for a minute. £13 to watch Hitchin v Kettering...non leagues slowly going mad I'm gonna be taking a bag of tins to watch to watch step 10 football at this rate haha

I can also pretty much guarantee that Hermansen and Winks shall be starting so my hypothetical point will be null and void this weekend anyway
