In this instance, it's a lad earning very good money from the club who has made little progress physically or ability wise, so I think to question his desire or motivation is fair. Hard to blame him, we've given him a comfortable life and like many players at the club, why put in the effort if you're getting good money for 3, 4 or 5 years anyway. Agreed in general though, people crying over footballers being spotted living their life after a loss and people making out that they should be at home sobbing into a pillow, can't abide that stuff.

I'd say so. Amount of talent coming through the academy is fantastic. Continue producing top young talent and it'll pay for itself easy. Probably the only thing that has been done well. Although you'd think the club aren't proud of this area given the embarassing lack of coverage

If its backlash against people who are promoting the use of youth, then its not those same people who don't understand the peaks and troughs that come with that. I'm genuinely not sure what strengths in the squad you think a better manager will enhance to have us picking up 2 points a game, which i assume is the minimum expectation Squad's gash and overestimated by a lot of people. We dont even have physicality that a back to basics gaffer could draw on. Weak as piss and were doing about what youd expect. Even adding a right back and left back that are average at this level with decent physical attributes would improve us immensely. Even keeping JJ would have been a huge plus. It should be embarassing to Rudkin how much we're spending on this squad.

Living in a dream world if you think another gaffer turns Thomas into bobby Carlos. Until we have maneuvarability in the market its gonna be a slog. Tying awful players down on long term contracts isn't going to speed that up
