  1. Tell you what, is there anything more annoying than "Ticketing will be announced in due course" It's a week and a bit away guys... couldn't you have just done both at the same time
  2. Something about flames.... ever hot youth culture and... the borough of Kensington and Chelsea that doesn't quite sit right either
  3. Gotcha! Maybe it's us using Chesterfiled because they're doing some work at the KP then.
  4. Guessing Palermo are at St Georges Park and the Pirelli wasn't available? Had a soft spot for them since a holiday in Sicily and those amazing pink kits! Hope it's ticketed, spent a lot of time at that ground in 2014 for work, nice easy trip there too.
  5. Dear God.... strap yourselves in and read this "Taking a closer look at our @NikeFootball 24/25 home kit. An orange accent colour represents a different kind of fire coming through our ranks. The melting pot pattern, resembling liquid gold and silver, is a fusion of our rich legacy with the ever-hot youth culture within our city." "A vibrant blue, the hottest part of the flame, acts as the centre piece of the kit."
  6. I think Howe would be quite an easy deal to do. He was brought in by Newcastle, much like Stavely and her fella, to be the cuddly front facing team of the takeover. Really don't think they see him in charge long term. Stavely is gone now and I imagine any protection Eddie has goes with her. It might well be Newcastle and England doing each other a favour... they don't have to sack him and the FA get their man without much wrangling.
  7. Why does he? This is literally all we have done for years, just promote from within, no change, no new ideas. People join this football club and they never ****ing leave because they're under no pressure whatsoever, comfortable as you like! Have we won anything at U18 level? Have we done anything particularly special? Finished mid table last season, losing our last 4 games, barely scored any goals We have a world class facility filled with PE teachers.
  8. I nearly wrote it. I wouldn’t be even a tiny bit surprised.
  9. I've highlighted your last line because I think it's going to be the deciding factor. In two years time we will see the most high profile, most watched World Cup probably in history, the Americans will stop at nothing to make its seen as the 'best ever'. Given how high profile it will be, I think the FA will, once again, go for someone who is media friendly, well trained, says all the right things and wont upset anyone. It's why they probably wont look any further than Howe and Potter. Which is a shame, as there's a world of possibilities open to us. One thing I found interesting from the players was the fact they all seem to love Southgate because he's 'been in our shoes'. Howe and Potter wont be able to claim that... in fact there's very few current managers who have played for England in high pressure tournaments.
  10. I live in Nottingham so tend to go to a few of their blast games with friends. Not been to a single one this year, no one seems keen. I couldn't tell you who half their squad was! Letting Samit leave to another county rather than retiring there was a sign for me that something isn't right, he's Mr Notts and now he's playing well for Derbyshire, very odd!
  11. Not sure what the deal is with Notts, Moores should of gone about two years ago, plays his son constantly even though he's crap, seem to have lost all direction there. Get the feeling the powers that be have switched their focus to International Cricket and The Hundred and couldn't really care less what Notts do.
  12. Damn these pointless oversees signings grrrrrrrr
  13. Mavididi played as a 9 every game he played for coopers U17’s. I know it’s a long time ago but maybe he fancies him there. Outside of the “where does he play” argument. We currently have 1 winger for each side of the pitch (plus BDR to cover both) so no matter what we need another one to cover each side! Personally I prefer bringing in quality like this rather than squad fillers.
  14. Villa have got Archer and Philogene back this week then. Be interesting to see what they do with them next.
  15. I see they've done their usual thing with realeasing the new training kit.... a top in 2 of the 3 colours available a quarter zip in 1 of the 3 colours available shorts in 1 of the 3 colours available
  16. That screams of the FA wanting to make sure they have their media man in the job for what will be the highest profile world cup in recent history...
  17. £25m to replace him, or £25m on a highly rated winger who we could sell for triple that. Feels like sensible squad management to me.
  18. Was on the scholars retained list by the looks of things
  19. On the sofa, on my own Partner is at work, little one will be asleep. Was the same for the last Euro's final to be honest, I quite liked it, incredibly stressful and being in the comfort of my own home helped! I've enjoyed being out for two of the games so far, but this one will be a "quiet" one in front of the tv!
  20. Me winning the bottle: Me realising it's a reward for being addicted to a webiste....
  21. Seeing Cobb get out cheaply is just wonderful.
  22. My thoughts exactly I guess they’re just at the same training camp in this case
  23. I won something!!!! Lovely stuff, thanks @Mark
