Cricket (None Leicestershire County Cricket Club)

I could have phrased that better. I was putting everyone into the “crap teams” bracket… no one has exactly shone yet have they, even the big boys! I do still think you’d get a good mix of association teams even if they had a mini tournament first. Just means the ones that get through have really earned their chance against similar level. It’s all just felt very flat to me. Hopefully the quality (of everyone) improves. -

This is honestly the most ridiculous international tournament I’ve ever seen. Crap teams, crap pitches, temporary stadiums. Fine, let the minnows play in the main tournament, but they should have their own group stage first with a couple getting through to the main event. Not enjoyed a minute of it so far, hopefully super 8’s are better! -

Not sure how Gunn is a keeper at any level let alone an international tournament -

Probably indicates Alex Neil is about to get a new job more than anything. -

What a time to be alive!!!! -
If the FA did go big, I think Klopp with his saviour complex will bite the FA’s arm off if they offered it to him.

Potters glow up when he got the Chelsea job is one of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed in football
-
Has he definitely binned off John Morris? He seemed like an obvious choice when he was still his agent. But now is it not just a bit awkward? I know others have mentioned his relationship with the club has soured after Maresca but I don't believe that for a second. Surely it would of been easier with JM to get the deal done?

Yeah i put 'new RWB as I'm just not sure either of them have the legs for a whole season there I can see Justin being part of the back 3 also.
-
3-4-3 would be interesting. Assuming no signings just because I can't be arsed to think of any. Mads Faes Vesty Coady New RWB Kristiansen Ricardo/Winks KDH Fatawu Vardy/Other striker Mavididi Actually looks quite nice! (apart from wanting a different CB or two with some pace!!!!)

I'm of the opinion (not a massive sample) that he does seem to adapt to what is in front of him. His entire time at Swansea was a variation of 4-2-3-1. Which would be fine for us. Brighton, they never really had good wingers and never had more than one striker of any ability, so he had to come up with something that suited their team. However he did whack out the 4-2-3-1/4-1-4-1 on occassion there too.

Is that because every **** we're after wants the England job?

Very generous, we currently have a fitness coach and a masseusse as our two remaining first team staff (other than the ones that sit in an office watching games...)

Just seems a particular shame given how agressive our test coach is -

The side he inherited in 2022 was always going to win that T20 WC IMO. We’ve been crap in white ball pretty much ever since. I still don’t see why we can’t just have one coach though. Just sort the bloody scheduling out! -

Just seems a ridiculous tournament so far. Part time stadiums/pitches, shoehorned into a schedule. Tiny scores even by big nations. Then we get on to England, why am I still seeing players from 10 years ago? Theres at least 5 players in the blast at the minute who should be in this squad. -
To be fair I've assumed from the start he was our next manager. All too convenient with the agents links. But I think it would of happened by now if it was going to.

As an insider.... this thread is positively mild...

I think Potter was massively let down by Brighton never signing him a number 9... then he lands at Chelsea and has Aubameyang (who didn't want to be there) and Havertz and Felix (who aren't strikers). I do actually think with decent striker options his team will score plenty. My only concern is intel I had a while back about his fitness methods, he cancelled a massive contract Chelsea had with a strength and conditioning company to re-do the gym at Cobham because he doesn't buy in to weight training.... just struck me as rather odd in this day and age, says he prefers all his work done on the pitch and if players want to do that then they do it in their own time.

Seem okay enough to give him a nice cut of Vardys final year?
-
He’ll be 32 by the time he kicks a ball in the prem. we’ve just given him his retirement contract.
-
To be fair. You’re being overshadowed by a few other “ITK’s” who are clearly up to no good with betting. You can’t blame them for cracking down.

As an aside, is that a t-shirt with his face merged into the adidas logo and a fox below? Are they going to sell 'one more year' merch??
