  1. I know what you mean in terms of the movement between clubs. But he was on the managerial shortlist in the summer, and it was basically the John Morris shortlist when you think it was him, enzo, gerrard and as a long shot Potter
  2. I wanted to ask you a question on this. Did your fans think he was clearly put into OHL to integrate him into the KP set up? In my opinion Garcia was sent to OHL by wasserman/KP to get his stats up and make him an attractive proposal to LCFC fans for when Enzo leaves. Same agent and was on the shortlist for us in the summer, so to me seams obvious. Looking at stats he's had a rough ride but seems to be turning the corner. I would say though I don't think he's done enough this season to get our fans excited about the prospect of him taking over.
  3. Ian is a really good bloke, worked with him for a year or so, might be just the right character to get the best out of Luke.

  6. I'm always impressed by players who play every single game. He's actually only been subbed off twice last season too, late on on both occassions. Stoke paid nearly £3m for him a couple of years ago but never worked out. Absolutely fine if he's cheap and is 4th choice/cover option.
  7. I imagine it's more to do with contractor/material costs. I don't think football clubs deal in the same circles as civilians on loans It'll be a macquarie jobby once we're back in the prem I guess.
  8. You are right, it is double standards deep down, I think I was just trying to add some thought on why fans might have been more open to him being here. In an ideal world, for me, you do something like that your high profile career is done. Not everyone agrees with that though, so I guess those who didn’t want someone at the club have to find some way of coming round to the idea. (Looking at the steps he took after for example)
  9. I don't think he was, it always made me incredibly uncomfortable. I'd say the only redeaming feature was his admission and subsequent anger managent and mental health help etc etc. Something he's carried on doing. Greenwood showed zero remorse and essentially let his partner come out and protect him.
  10. There's nothing wrong with this by the way, if you're the right character. The current CEO of Pret started in their shop and has never done anything else.
  11. He came up with a perfect crossfield assist for their goal and was then inexplicably taken off... Bayern hadn't had a sniff before their goal so not sure you can single just him out for being missing.
  12. You’re forgetting he has to have the year off so he can do the summer podcast/euro broadcast tour talking about his time learning from the best coaches across Europe….
  13. Good shout. If they stay down West Brom would be good too. Barnes MK 2
  14. Looking forward to seeing where he goes on loan. You’d imagine the club will want him playing similar football.
  15. Why has these been designed in MS Paint in 1996?
  16. I've got a wet blanket from all this cloud seeding! Left it in the garden last night!
  17. Did realise how blunt that was after posting haha
  18. I've said this in a few different threads over the years. But for me, taking all emotion, anger, frustration etc out of it, the most startling thing is that Whelan, Rudkin and Herlihy are ALL still here after so many years/successes. Susan has overseen the most successful period in our history John has been DOF during our famed 'buy cheap, sell high' phase Anthony has been comms director during arguably the trickiest bit of comms anyone will ever have to deliver, amongst also overseeing the above periods of success. WHY have none of them been poached or been ambitious enough to further themselves? If i've got that on my CV i'm getting myself a place at the City group table, or chasing some of that Chelsea cash! The problem isn't just people being held accountable for performance, it's comfort, they must have it SO good here that nothing could shift them, and that in itself is a problem. Whether it's the thai genorisity, flexibility, who knows? But that's what needs fixing. It must be demoralising for their teams too. Where is the ultimate progression?
  19. It's Newcastle
  20. I'd assume we will lean heavily on John Morris/Wasserman again for a shortlist if he does go? Basically everyone we were linked to last summer was their client. My reading of the situation when Oscar Garcia went to OHL, was that he was being primed as a successor. However it's gone pretty tragically for him there so not sure KP could sell him in to the fans after such a poor showing at OHL? John has Carlos Vicens, another Pep deciple on his roster, also Anthony Barry is an interesting one who has had some fantastic coaching experiences. Although looks like he is going to give the EFL a go first. The obvious name that will never go away is Graham Potter, now he's had his gap year
  21. Apparently it was a perfectly okay choice for a manager though...
  22. Bowen didn't pass Rudkins 'background checks'
  23. Saw an excellent tweet about this once... "You sound like a glaswegen complaining about his toilet getting theived"
  24. To be fair his comedic timing for a non comedian is something else
