  1. Not a chance.
  2. Think it's more to do with the brainwashing of possession based football and Pep. Yes it works and is hugely successful for Pep and Man City, doesn't mean it works for everyone else.
  3. Was listening to TalkSport last night, don't get me wrong they WUM but they posed the question; "Maresca to Chelsea, looks like Leicester want Corberan, are Leicester getting the better deal?" Also Andy Jacobs (Chelsea fan) is fuming with the decision. It remains to be seen but shows the underwhelming and regard Maresca is held in.
  4. Just meh Let's see who we appoint first.
  5. Hmmm tougher job here, yes. More pressure? Expectation (despite how often the word entitled gets thrown about on here)? Nope. He arguably cracked and threw his toys out the pram under the slightest pressure last season.
  6. And the club pulled out of the pre season USA PL tournament because Enzo put his foot down. Bet the club are fuming The added irony is, with USA ownership I have no doubt he'll have to go over there with Chelsea for it. Likewise he didn't like the amount of games and scheduling of the Championship, welcome to balancing act of PL/European/Domestic Cup competition (Where you're expected to go deep) commitments Enzo.
  7. I mean i'd be all over that, but his release clause puts the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool off then we've no chance! I'll keep saying it, we missed a trick with Hutter when he was available last summer or when we sacked Rodgers even!
  8. Whilst I do agree with this notion lets take a few examples from last season into account. Southampton - Our best performance and biggest win of the season, except it wasn't the Enzo way, he publicly unhappy and slammed the performance. Leeds (Away) - Probably our 2nd best performance of the season, we threw it away though, arguably individual errors cost us, but we sat further back and we crumbled. Leeds (Home) - Lost. Middlesbrough (Home and Away) - Probably one of the best teams we faced, lost both times. Not great outcomes, when we did have a positive outcome it wasn't his way and he wasn't happy about it. I appreciate we can only base off a small cross section.
  9. And they're both fair and valid opinions, the point i'm making any manager who doesn't play so called 'pretty', tippy tappy, possession based game has a stigma, often labelled as a dinosaur. As in the point I made, pragmatist or stubborn ideologist, if we're calling names and labelling, I know who the dinosaurs are.
  10. So Moyes and the likes who most would agree are pragmatic are labelled dinosaurs. What does pragmatic mean? Solving problems in a sensible way that suits the conditions that really exist now, rather than obeying fixed theories and ideologies. As opposed to the modern manager, who has ideologies and if that doesn't work you do it better. ....I know who the dinosaurs are.
  11. West Midlands news covering the Wolves STH prices. Making more of it/getting more coverage and exposure than we created.
  12. Should have got Hutter when he was available last summer.
  13. Oooh, I can use this the opposite way this time....He should have been "careful what he wished for" touting him to all and sundry.
  14. Have I? Tell me, what are they? Please, do enlighten me, because I've been quite whilst he doesn't go without criticism from me i've also been very complementary about him. Criticising other fans? I speak for myself when I say apathetic Leicester fans, I'm one of the most apathetic, it is generally where we find ourselves as a club and fanbase though. Also, think you've contradicted yourself a little bit within 2 sentences.
  15. Everyone praising Ipswich for biting down tooth and nail to keep McKenna, offering him a new 'bumper' contract....that's exactly what we didn't want to do with Enzo right? If he keeps them up, playing well, great, the gamble is they end up like we did with Rodgers.
  16. I've kept quiet on this but i'm going to bite; Please, bear in mind some of the players spoke glowingly of Rodgers. That's not to say they don't love working under Enzo but just something to consider. They're hardly going to say otherwise. The fact they had a players only meeting that coincided with getting over the line speaks volumes, added to it coinciding with our best performance of the season (5-0 v Southampton - That Enzo didn't like)...It's not to say Enzo's 'way' is wrong, but sometimes you need to change it up.
  17. Compared to much of the past 7 years it was positively electric!
  18. I can't see Chelsea fans putting up with tippy tappy. As I said earlier if Maresca got arsey with an apathetic Leicester fanbase who make very little noise either way and hardly put anyone under any pressure, ask question or hold anyone accountable whatsoever good luck under the spotlight at Chelsea. I'm here for it, I think it'll be quite entertaining, ironically.
  19. Football snobbery, that's all it is. People have been brainwashed by tippy tappy shite. That's not to say there aren't other options we should be looked at, there are plenty of pragmatic foreign managers who play attacking, front footed, exciting football, by god I did my research during the last 2 years of Rodgers' tenure. But anything other than Man City-lite and people turn their noses up.
  20. The old adage, "It's about who you know..."
  21. Didn't hurt Kompany. Tbh it's speak volumes of where football is where Maresca and Kompany are getting 'elite' jobs. (Appreciate elite and is being used loosely regarding Chelsea atm)
  22. If he got arsey with people daring to question him and putting him under the slightest pressure at Leicester good luck at Chelsea Enzo
  23. Not just 1600 STH's though is it, I'm not sure what the case currently is with members - have they been made to use mobile ticketing? STH Guest options, e.t.c. I used the ST Guest option twice earlier in the season, they wouldn't send a ticket out to me and forced me/the only option was a mobile ticket, so on one occasion I let the guest use my ST card while I used my phone, it failed and I had to run down to the ticket office...where they printed off a ticket despite being told from the off they couldn't do that. The second occasion it did work but it took me around 3 attempts to scan my phone.
  24. Apparently he wasn't keen on the amount of games in the Championship. One assumes he doesn't fancy it at the highest level and/or European commitments based on that then.
  25. Only just seen the 1st goal. **** up's at the back, a thing of beauty. Excellent.
