'Abominate' or not, they don't hide or wait for VAR to make a decision for them and I respect them for that. Thoroughly enjoyed the officiating this season, no doubt masked by winning but i'd say alot less mistakes have been made without VAR.

It's pretty poor and abit of concern. Also, it highlights how pointless draws are. We've had 4. Now on the face of it you'd think we'd lost the 11 trying to go all out for the win, I don't think we were though.

Always liked him but time to go our separate ways. The fact I hold him in higher regard than so called 'better' players that have been and gone speaks volumes. All the best Kelechi.

I didn't agree with Rodgers throwing his toys out the pram, neither did I agree with media narrative "he wasn't backed" - he was, by the tune of over £200m. However, the last 2 managers have been critical of the running and secretive nature of our finances, the club cannot continue in this vein. Wake up.

Gotta laugh at the club's "Important fan info" statement. "Love Football, Protect The Game." Hmmm, perhaps they should practice what they preach.
-
The only pro I have for signing him is it'll piss Cov fans off, if that's all I can say, it's not a great point. Not got the type of attitude we'll need imo.

Not very “eco friendly” is it? They won’t allow you to take a water bottle, refillable bottle in, neither do they (to my knowledge) give access to water points in the stadium 🤔

Away end sounds quality! 👌

That's another season of Everton stinking the place out then.

"Wooooooooo" Insufferable.

Get the narrowboat booked.

Ten Hag very much like Rodgers with us, terrible football, constantly on the verge but just does enough to shithouse results (and not in a good way), papering over craters. It can only go on for so long.

We've enjoyed it because we've been winning, I said for years, even when we were in the Premier League previously, the Championship is a far better, more exciting and compelling league than the Premier League, as a neutral. It's like our season in League One, that's still up there with one of my favourite seasons ever but we only wanted to be there for one season.
-
Double edged sword, unfortunately, the Premier League is the place to be, financially. I've always had a soft spot and interest in the Championship and always will, it pisses all over the Premier League in my opinion. But with success in the Championship comes promotion to the Premier League and of course you want that success, otherwise what's the point, what are you striving for. If we hadn't gone up, we'd all be pissed off, i'm buzzing after last night, it's a fantastic achievement, it's party time and i'll enjoy it, but i'm apprehensive over the circus that is the Premier League.

Alot can be rightly levelled at our fanbase, quiet, passive, happy clappers, but the scenes down the KP last night looked great, compare that to when Man City win a league or won Champions League...the Treble(!) last season.

Sounds like a club problem to me, not a fan problem. Besides, surely the idea or point in the sponsorship and what they'll be getting paid for should be to fund it?

I think it's probably a pisstake. Nige nails it (as always) regarding certain managers, usually the older managers having a certain stigma, often getting labelled dinosaurs. Personally they're often more pragmatic then the modern day manager.

Following on from his comments after Tuesday, specifically the "On the ball we could play more better because there was space to play" comment but also the "We could keep the ball more" and "I think we had more games where the team was better on the ball". That to me means playing sideways, aimless passes, passing for passing sake. Why? I mean given we won 5-0 why would you want the above?! A lot was levelled and joked about Rodgers (and possession based football full stop) that he didn't like us shooting or scoring because it meant we gave up possession but I genuinely have to start asking if that's seriously the case, we're in an age where it seems possession is the first stat people look at and care about. I note Maresca's comments regarding dropping Fatawu because he'll be shooting too much were tongue in cheek but I think there may be an element of truth in it.

When Nige talks, you listen.

It doesn’t have to be this way though. I’ve made my concerns for next season (should we go up…still saying that!) that I fear for how we play and that there will be no need to play that way (I’ve got it this season, accepted it and understood the reason for it), however Tuesday buoyed me, gave me some positivity and optimism for next season and the future. The comments made after the game somewhat were cause for concern/dampened down the elation a little. I’ve had to make compromises to continue my interest in the modern game, the way of playing, hopefully he meets us halfway. But it remains to be seen either way!

This is why i've asked the question in the maths thread. Basically I want promotion wrapped up asap, I can't be dealing with anymore anxiety, but it'd be nice to win the league and have some jeopardy on the last game at home v Blackburn, if that is possible?

Get those corrupt banners out Everton fans!

I'm not saying we're up until we're up and I don't want to pre-empt anything but should we be promoted this weekend, whether that be Leeds losing, or us winning on Monday, or both, what are the chances of it going to the last game on the season to win the league? Basically, I want promotion in the bag this weekend at the earliest opportunity but I don't wanna win the league until the last game of the season so we've got something on it, is it possible? Does that make sense or is it quite sadistic?

Friday, enjoy basking in it over the weekend.

I’m not gonna let the comments get to me because tonight was so throughly enjoyable but come on Enzo. “I don’t think it was our best performance of the season.” ”On the ball we could play more better because there was space to play and we could keep the ball more.” ”I think we had more games where the team was better on the ball.” Maresca on Fatawu: “The next two games he’ll be on the bench else he’ll be shooting from everywhere.” I get that last one is very much tongue in cheek but even so. Come on Enzo, even you have to admit it was pretty impressive and enjoyable tonight. 34% Possession. 17 Shots to their 7. 6 Shots on Target to their 0! 362 passes to their 719. 5 Goals to their 0. What’s not to like?! It’s what you do with the ball, and tonight, we did a lot!
