Well there you go, you're just completely contradicted your own argument. You originally spoke as if there are only two options, possession based/playing out from the back or hoof ball, until you were challenged. Just because people don't like a certain style of football, doesn't mean the alternative is to hoof it, it isn't either/or, that's not what people want or are asking for. As you've said yourself, Look deeper; Pragmatism, a shift, adapting, that's what people want to see, especially if we do indeed find ourselves in a similar rut that Burnley found themselves in. It's nothing short of football snobbery.

Those games were a disgrace to the playoffs.
-
WBA v Southampton started well but it soon went abit Norwich v Leeds.
-
No sympathy at all for MK Dons conceding a goal like that.
-
Let's just hope we learn from Burnley. Ideologies and philosophies will not keep you up, it's fine having a preferred way of playing but if it's not working adapt, get the best out of what you have.

I've never got to the bottom of the collection of tickets for European away games, was this a UEFA stipulation or was that fabricated aswell? In fairness, I think i've heard of other clubs doing it but I'm not sure all clubs do. That was prior to the FA Cup is all i'm thinking.

If you'd asked me 2 years ago, I'd have said the same but the welfare (?...Welfare?....we're not ****ing horses, but you get what I mean...'Regard' is perhaps a better word) for fans, proper fans, local, homegrown, week to week, hardcore fans, I feel is below rock bottom, they don't give a fuck, they'd rather spit on us. This will happen, sooner, rather than later.

Without fully understanding mobile ticketing, I assume it automatically downloads? However, if that’s not the case and it’s a case of and you have to/you can manually download (and you’ve not done that before arriving at the stadium) I do hope the club will be investing (along with providers) on infrastructure to improve the network? And/or start providing WiFi? Although even if it down automatically download I assume if you don’t ‘open’ the automatic download it still needs to ‘load’ As signal around the stadium is nonexistent. One of the lines I’ve seen put out by the club was that they are “behind” when it comes to be doing digital, well poor network coverage is one of the first things they need to improve. Can’t wait until first game of the season when kick off is delayed by 15 - 30 minutes due to “Turnstile Issues/Faults” or “Server Error”. I’m here for it. Queue emails and social media posts advising fans to arrive early ahead of that first game.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Matt replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't claim to know the ins and out, I don't quite understand FFP and/or PSR but I think end game was always getting to this summer before we could start righting some wrongs, with many high earner leaving this summer, as none were leaving before their contracts were up, the clubs hands were tied - that's not sticking up for the club, they put themselves in that position giving these ridiculous contracts out. It's about getting the right players, players who want to be here, lowering the wage bill, making a stand and using the freed up money wisely. Will we have learnt from mistakes? I very much doubt it but it remains to be seen either way. -
2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed
Matt replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
And will they be mobile and/or paid card? I mean talk of being 'eco friendly' or 'falling behind digitally' as two of the reason why the club is trying to abolish cards - it's been beyond me for years why when a member buy's a ticket for a game it simply doesn't just get loaded/credited onto the membership card. -
Agree with this.

I'm always wary and careful of what I say about West Ham fans criticisms of Moyes because I know what I/We went through with Rodgers, "Be careful what you wish for", "You're lucky to have him", "He's won you an FA Cup [European trophy for WHU] and qualified for Europe", "What more do you want?", "You're ungrateful", "You're entitled", "He's overachieving", "Who you going to replace him with?!" e.t.c, and, I/We don't watch West Ham every week. But when I have watched West Ham (Which isn't very often), I think they're quite decent, I'll be honest, I think Moyes is quite pragmatic. They do seem to have spells of being terrible and then getting a run together, again much like us under Rodgers.

2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed
Matt replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Who's renewed yet? I will, I'll probably do it next weekend. -
When's this happening then? With Kingy retiring, Albrighton leaving, Vardy last man standing (potentially not if there's no new contract...hadn't thought of that 😬). Tickets £25, to the VS Foundation 👀 Tbh, it'd probably be better fan organised.

It’s bloody May and the playoff game between Crawley v MK Dons has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. **** English weather.

Watching the National League playoff final, didn't realise Richard Stearman was at Solihull Moors.

I was listening to something the other day, they weren't talking about and specific team, just the game in general, inane possession for possession sake and they were saying they'd love to see what would happen when two teams came up against each other with a low block, a game of 'you have to ball, no, you have the ball'. It's never gonna happen, but it'd be interesting to see what would happen and ultimately you'd expect it to force a change from one or both teams. Fwiw, I find possession for possession sake just as negative as teams who play a low block, if anything teams who play a low block, have less possession are more exciting in my eyes, for example and I appreciate this isn't always the case, we've beat many teams who have played a low block this season but the teams you make mentioned beat us and we got our biggest win of the season with a very low possession stat.

Individuals obviously have to make their own minds up but the fans groups were advising people don't by pay for the cards while dialogue was taking place, what is the advice UFS and Foxes Trust giving now? Ultimately the fans are in a no win situation. Don't pay and be forced into digital - That's what the club wants. Pay - Fans are paying out, the club are getting money.

Siege mentality. History shows us that's when we're at our best on and off the field. I apologise for saying this but i'm not sure the style we've adopted in recent years is conducive to a siege mentality however, you feel there will have to be a shift, we've seen glimpses but I don't believe this is wanted or preferred.

Quite sad to wave goodbye to the Championship but with success in the Championship brings promotion and we'd have been fuming had we not been promoted. Most people I've spoke to say similar. Back to the circus of the PL. Championship > PL.

****ing awful game. A nothing game, after a week on the piss but let's not have it any other way, ****ing awful. Gotta sit on the over the summer aswell.
-
But the officiating has been no worse, if not better than what we've experienced in the PL, without VAR.
-
Pretty ****ing disappointing today, all round. On and off the pitch.
