Matt replied to Daggers's topic in Leicester City Forum
So good! Best game of the season, performance and scoreline! All with 34% possession and you know what it’s the most enjoyable and comfortable I’ve felt all season. -
2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed

I often see this idea and yes anything is better than nothing, but I was always led to believe the food and drink kiosk's were nothing to do with the club, they're are out to tender/sub-contracted by the club, point being I don't think that'd hurt the club or quite make the statement people would hope it would. -

Anyone going to email the club? Pressure needs to be applied in numbers. Another thing and I assume your ticket updates or download automatically prior to the game? (I dunno) but if they want to force people down this route; Improve the infrastructure surrounding mobile signal or provide WiFi. -
2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed

If the £25 charge truly is an “eco drive” I’m interested to know: •Why can’t we use our current cards? -No need for new cards. •Will the £25 be a one off future proof payment? -(Of course it won’t), If not, that’s not really very eco friendly now is it? Having a new one, every season? •How can clappers be justified? @Foxes_Trust -
I was an advocate for VAR, I think it was needed however this isn't what I envisaged. My idea years ago, way before VAR's inception was to adopt an approach similar to Cricket. Each team starts the game with 3 appeals, if they genuinely feel something needs looking at by they can appeal, request it's looked at, if it's overturned you keep the appeal, if it's not overturned you lose an appeal, once you're out of appeals, tough, use them wisely, it'd give each team something to carefully consider and in theory would reduce wait times - things wouldn't be checked for no reason. Edit - The counter argument to that musing would be; I guess it still wouldn't necessarily bring the correct decision and I dare say it'd allow players, managers, club to put even more pressure to have the decision go their way. It's a mess.

People still in the concourse's from HT but this is far more representative of a Coventry attendance. Empty seats, empty seats.
-
Over 9.5 mentions of 1987.
-
Not sure why it took me so long but yesterday it dawned on me that Coventry have never had a major achievement in my lifetime. I'm often critical of us being shit or boring (We rarely have boring seasons but in recent years, game to game we have become very bland, dull, boring and meh to watch, I like to think that's the influence and by-product of the 'modern game' however) but Coventry's history is the epitome of boring. A nothing club.
-
Has 1987 been mentioned yet? 🙄😴

Atleast Everton fans can put all the 'PL is corrupt', 'PL is against us' nonsense to bed after today.
-
Just raised a similar point in the Premier League thread.
-
That's what so annoying with the negligence of last season with us.
-
Was impressed with the numbers that stayed behind yesterday!

They've just been discussing on the radio whether Burnley/Kompany's style could be justified if Burnley stay up, the general consensus was, yes. For that reason, I want them down and but by the same token if they go down could it be unjustified? Ultimately, neither would be right. Sheff Utd don't play that way, infact I don't know what way they play and they're getting hammered every week, it's simply all about getting the best out of what you've got, using the strengths of the players you have available not a certain style and certainly not a certain style being of an ideology, principle or philosophy.
-
If that's Cov tomorrow Man Utd get a penalty. I'd be all for it, but i'm all for it to be given in today's match, because I hate Man City as much as I hate Cov but more so for the fact that....it's simply a bloody penalty.

So I think i'm right in saying if Leeds lose against Middlesbrough on Monday and if we beat Southampton we're promoted? Does Southampton losing today change much or add new equations?
-
I would say it's about time we won 'scruffy' but you can't really say we won that 'scruffy', I can appreciate scruffy, but that was just overplaying, trying to be perfect and looking absolutely honking, not great, not great at all, but we won and win's are all that matter in this current time, we managed it, just about. I've said a few times recently I feel we strive and are obesessed with 'control', yet when we're supposedly 'in control' is when I feel the least confident in us. Hamza MOTM!

I remember watching Kompany being interviewed the first game Trafford was dropped. Cant remember the quote word for word now but it was basically along the lines of - He can’t play the way we (I) want him to play. Well after yesterday, it looks like the other keeper can’t either. Hows about you change and get the best out of your players, playing how the players feel comfortable!
-
Yeah sorry, right game, wrong way round. Ugh Burnley, should we go up that’ll be us next season making brain farts all over the place all in reason of “the idea”. Oh well, let’s get there first.
-
The goal Burnley conceded No sympathy.
-
Here’s a thread discussing it.
-
Not all but a very high majority yes. That is no reason why we should be the exception to the rule though. And who says "this is the way to play" just because it's successful for Pep and Man City, who bore everyone to tears, I think having the best players in the world and bankrolling it has alot to do with their success rather than how they play.
-
What is it with these managers, the example you've given along with Rodgers throwing a strop and kicking water bottles in that game against West Brom during Covid. If anyone needs any proof this style, the style these managers want is disgusting, boring, stifling and just not very good or enjoyable there we have it in a nutshell.
-
I agree but also we should be asking for more, striving for more, demanding more! We won't see another PL, we understand and don't expect that but a bar was set, a standard was set, yet many people pass that of as entitled fans and with that attitude standards slip in the mess we find ourselves in. For me it all came with a change of style, this style does not encapsulate what I used to enjoy about football, it's passive, boring, passionless nonsense and it's no more sustainable or successive than any other.
-
Control However that's precisely when I feel we're least in control. Load of bollocks.
