  1. I dare say Pep, Rodri and co will have another episode of "They didn't play how we wanted them to play" wah wah wah.
  2. Not like Liverpool to make everything about them.
  3. Another nail in the games coffin.
  4. Imagine being accused of cheating in the season little old Leicester won the league.
  5. Vardy's on 180 goals for Leicester City. How many does everyone think he finishes on for us? Obviously it's up in the air whether he's given a new contract/whether he accepts a new contract or not.
  6. "This means more"
  7. Nah, we did it playing out or inviting pressure upon ourselves, that was most of my frustration. It was braindead nonsense.
  8. A fuck up in defence is a fuck up in defence no matter how it comes about but it's kind of refreshing to see it not being down to braindead playing out nonsense. Twice in one game!
  9. I appreciate Stoke didn't sell out yesterday and believe there were many empty seats anyway but the point I was making and @Daggers I think was making is the empty stadium come the latter stages of the game and mute atmospheres. For us, our attendances are pretty good (Despite pricing) but i'm speaking more of the poor atmosphere and mass exoduses.
  10. Firstly, I agree entirely. But I think someone replied to one of my "The modern game is boring", "Football has been ruined", "Football at the higher level is dying/dead", "All fans are complaining of the same thing - it's boring" rants and someone claimed football attendances are actually thriving, now i've not cross checked and verified that. They may well (or may not) be thriving but as i've read a few times I think its more about FOMO and people going for an 'event' where people just go to turn up and won't think twice about leaving early if they're bored; of which alot of football nowadays/the modern game is generally boring, or people turning up out of habit/routine (of which i've been guilty of in the past). It's stale. You only have to speak to fans of other clubs, listen to phone in's, most claim the games boring or they are bored of their team, it's not exclusive to us - although we might be worse/think we're worse than other clubs. For the record i'm not saying this season is boring for us and there is no excuse for our atmospheres this season, i'm just talking about the game, certainly at the higher levels, in general. I don't have figures to back my opinion or theory up but I believe non-league attendances are rising (maybe not dramatically but still, rising to an extent) because there's less nonsense, it's more real, they're not being fucked about by TV schedules or a pantomime, people are being turned off and turned away by the professional game at the higher levels.
  11. Very nice and impressive win! Some beautiful goals too, a mixture of goals, well worked and counter attacks! A mix! ****ing glorious! Perhaps it says more about Stoke but it felt like a complete, 'full' performance, there didn't appear to be the lull we've been experiencing recently, front footed throughout and in my eyes 'controlled' every minute of the match.
  12. Unflushable fucking turds! But, a Dyche team who are never finished and will work till the end, by hook or by crook, that's what you get.
  13. I'm not painting us to be saints - We've been paying outrageous wages for years and we let Rodgers spunk £220m away (But don't forget "he wasn't backed"!!!!!), on what I genuinely can't tell you! I also apologise to continually be pointing fingers at other clubs, Villa inparticularly, how they're getting away with FFP I do not know, they got relegated with fairly high profile players who must have been on a fair whack, got promoted straight away (I think, or did it take them 2 years?) and then gone on to spend mega money (I mean, I know we were 'interested' but I highly doubt we could ever have dreamed or afforded Coutinho's wages) - Yes they sold Grealish of which was 100% profit but the low price buy/high price sales + players we've made 100% profit on ourselves I just don't get how it's possible we're in more a mess than them, great they've got European football, we won the PL, had a season in the CL (Making the Quarter Finals), we had 2 seasons in the Europa League - Dropping into the Conference during one of them and won the FA Cup (On that one I don't believe winning the FA Cup brings much money in) I'm very naïve regarding FFP and don't know the rules, but on the face of it I just don't get how we're acting like paupers while others have spent with gay abandon. (I'm talking teams i'd put in a similar bracket to ourselves - I'm talking the 'top' teams aside) Maybe we're being pro active as to avoid punishment, maybe Villa et al will be punished shortly, it all remains to be seen, but in the here and now I just don't get it.
  14. Appreciate we’re hurtling towards a cashless society but as someone who likes abit of cash; Cash machines swallowing cards. Need to stop using this certain machine, it’s the second time in 12 months it’s happened and the third time in total over the years. Great start to the weekend. Someone buy me a beer.
  15. I'm led to believe Radio Leicester have gave the club and/or Rudkin opportunities to speak but i'm also led to believe the club and/or Rudkin have declined the opportunity. The more the club and/or Rudkin refuse to speak the more questions it asks. I'd like this opportunity offered once again, it gives them (The Club) and/or Rudkin a chance, a platform to answer some questions, explain themselves, even defend themselves(!).
  16. I see the marking their own homework, back slapping and reviews of last season/summer were worthwhile and lessons were learnt… Serious questions need answering and serious pressure needs to be applied now.
  17. As I said in a post earlier today I've made it clear throughout the years I don't like pure possession based football or playing out from the back but if I want to continue an interest in football a compromise has to be made, that is on me and the football we are playing is that compromise. It is largely possession based, playing out from the back but there is an element of a mix, it is somewhat forward, front footed, attacking and exciting, other times when we seem to be playing keep ball for the sake of it I think we look abit clueless and pointless, but in essence that's exactly what it is in my eyes, no matter how it's dressed up. Given the previous 6 years of Puel and Rodgers, how people are calling this boring is beyond me. I understand why we're doing it this season, in this league, against this opposition and i'm quite enjoying it. I'm not sure that reasoning will be there next season however but that remains to be seen either way, reservations will be held with caution and we continue to enjoy this season in the here and now.
  18. Admittedly i've not listened to alot of what Postecoglu has said, mainly because the vomit educing media fluttering their eyelashes every time he says 'Mate'. But the way he has got Tottenham playing and just hearing his comments of managers 'sucking the joy out of football' is a breath of fresh air.
  19. I said it many times last season but the football snobbery from some people is astounding. People are very short sighted if they think it’s one or the other. There is a time and place for all styles but not one, exclusively. For the record I don’t think Enzo does do one exclusively, he does have a preferred style and it takes a lot for him to change but, at times, he will and has changed tact. However, I think as the season has gone on he does seem more stubborn to change, a lot of emphasis on control (ironically I felt we were more in control earlier in the season) and it can be argued it’s very much a case of “when plan A doesn’t work, do plan A better”. Meme or not. This is perhaps him implementing his style, which is kind of concerning in itself.
  20. I mean I see both sides, I’ve made my feelings on possession based football and playing out from the back quite clear and that I don’t really enjoy the modern game. A large majority of clubs, up and down the country, in every league play this way, generally, it’s boring and the game has been ruined. I have to realise and accept that’s the way it is, that’s on me. To continue with my hobby, my interest in football I need to find a compromise. I feel Maresca’s football is somewhat of a compromise, largely it’s possession based, largely it’s playing out from that back but we do play forwards, we are attacking, it is, at times, exciting and entertaining. Compared to the much of the last 7 years, this is positive, this is exciting and entertaining. However a lot of the time the constant recycling of the ball, we still look clueless. I totally understand why we’re playing this way, in this league. Whilst it’s winning games, we’re breaking records and top of the league, you can’t argue against it. Will it work and be successful next season? It remains to be seen but I don’t think so and I fear it’ll be pretty dire to watch - as it is for a high percentage of teams. I’m not sure that rationale or argument will be there next season however, teams will not be coming up against us “scared”, “putting 11 men behind the ball”, making us “break them down”, I feel it’ll be very much keep ball for keep balls sake, littered with constant mistake, rinse and repeat. That isn’t about me getting in early in order to say “I told you so”. Hopefully I’m completely wrong, pleasantly surprised and we’re playing really well to a comfortable safety next season. As a newly promoted team (hopefully) you expect us to struggle and I accept that but will I accept stupid mistakes from playing out time and time again, inviting needless pressure upon ourselves, constantly shooting ourselves on the foot just to play a certain way, style or philosophy? Absolutely not. You adapt, get the best out of what you’ve got and find ways around things not just doing the same thing over and over.
  21. Pop pop pop goes that Villa bubble!
  22. Another late goal. Thankfully on this occasion it didn't come from us sitting back, soaking up pressure or a mistake and it didn't count for much, but it still goes down on the stats.
  23. Thought we played some nice stuff looking really exciting, entertaining and dangerous, at times, when we decided to look up and play through the lines, unfortunately those times we're few and far between, we started well then had another spell mid-to-late in the second half, the void left in the middle of those spells was a hard watch, we equally looked clueless at other times. Akgun came on, changed the game, gave us the energy we were lacking.
