Would you support a "Super League"?

The sooner they fuck off the better. -
Do they mean our history regarding administration or do they mean upsetting the establishment by winning the league. If they mean the latter I somewhat agree. What happened to Fofana and Chilwell? Seem to have been out forever. Ironically the only player who left us who seems to be playing injury free is Evans! Couldn't make it up! Edit: Ah, Chilwell played yesterday, shows how much attention i'm paying.
-
Referee just got in the way in the QPR v Watford game and pulled play back, it reminded me, ref got in the way yesterday when a pass was played to one of our players leading to Cov gaining possession but he never stopped the game and pulled play back?

Not at all but there is food for thought that he doesn't have a Plan B (Or is too stubborn/thinks a Plan B is a bad thing, do Plan A better - As do most managers/an opinion within the 'modern game') and constructive criticism's can be made. There is a reason why we are playing as we are in this league and it's clearly successful but does that mean you don't need to; Change at times? Adapt? Have a Plan B or other options? Add more strings to your bow? Absolutely not. Simply sitting there, happily clapping and agree with everything that goes got us in the mess and relegated to this league, you are allowed to question things, give opinions and discuss.

As I said last night whilst we haven't conceded that many late goals in the grand scheme of things but for a team/manager/philosophy/ideology who crave and speak so much about 'control' the late goals and the way we've conceded them in important matches is a concern that has to be spoken about. We've largely had it all our own way for the most part of this season but on those rare times we are backs against the wall we've crumbled, as I keep reiterating i'm actually quite enjoying and understand why we're playing this way in this league but some people are in for a rude awakening.
-
We've not conceded too many late goals - the stat earlier in the season was incredible - Not sure what the 'score' is now in the last 20 minutes or whatever the stat was. But! I think the late goals and/or the manner we've conceded them needs to be spoke about. Sheff Wed, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Coventry today. We won in games against Millwall and Birmingham but late goals against them unsettled us and made for nervy endings when it could and should have been more comfortable. Not a criticism as such but it needs speaking about, certainly when you consider this from a team who crave and speak of 'control' so much. If we're not going to kill games off (That's not aimed at todays game, we were down to 10 men for 45 minutes) we need to do the dirty work better, learn how to grind results out and staying strong at the back, showing some grit and resolve.
-
Not being critical, simply going along with things and happy clapping arguably got us in this league. Discussions, musings, opinions and constructive criticism is allowed.

Didn't think the penalty was a penalty at the time, it was so credit to him there - Should have also been a red however. Didn't think Fatawu's was a red but it was late and through the back of him, I'd probably been shouting for a red if it was against us, gave the referee a decision to make. Silly. So the key point's I guess he got right, in general though, probably the worst referee we've had all season, for both teams.
-
Fully behind how and why we're playing the way we are this season but we were up against it for the first time in a while and we looked clueless, albeit with 10 men, but I didn't think we were much better before that. This only makes my fears for the higher level stronger.
-
Disappointing and deflating but we move on, we now have a mini-break if you like, which whenever we've lost this season we've gone away and came back stronger, hopefully this will make us even more resolute. On the mini-break I mention - It's a good thing for the players to rest, recover and reset, but you wanna get the next game to get over this. Now, I felt we were vulnerable all match, i've been saying the 2nd half was the worst we've played all season but let's have in right, in truth it was probably the worst match we've played all season, take nothing away from Coventry they're probably not the best team we've played all season but they're amongst one of the best we've played as much as that pains me to say. We got the goal, which at the time I didn't think was a penalty, having seen a photo it was most definitely a penalty and they should have been down to 10, photo's always look worse though, I hoped that'd give us some momentum and kick start us, Fatawu had a brain fart - Possibly not a red(?) but he was late, he went through the back of the Coventry player - He gave the referee a decision to make - Referee was poor for both sides. Once we were down to 10 going into HT you always felt up against it, especially as I said we looked vulnerable with 11. Onto Enzo, think he needs to take alot of the heat on this one - Poor subs, lack of subs and no fucking plan B, it's one of many frustrating things in the 'Modern game', it's like it's a bad thing to have a plan B, it's infuriating, I'm fully behind how we're playing, why we're playing like it but we were up against it for once and we looked clueless, it only makes my fear stronger about how we'll struggle when we go up because we will not be allowed and cannot play this way at the higher level. This one leaves a bitter taste in my mouth but in the grand scheme of things we move on, it's just because of who we lost to.

This nonsense of keeper (or defenders) standing with their foot on the ball. Negative. You can call 11 men behind the ball as negative as you like but I see this new trend just a negative. Most teams do it but Villa seem one of the worst offenders, certainly in this match I understand the theory of drawing the opposition onto you but it doesn't. All it does is allow the opposition time to get into position, mark their men and they know whilst the player is stood with their foot on the ball you're no threat leading to slow and incredibly boring game. We know first hand, it's what we did for the most part of two years.

LCFC 3-2 Millwall - FA Cup - Post Match Thread
Matt replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not seen any of the match but three beautiful goals, crosses, forward passes and play of old! I'm not saying this aimed in any way critical of this season because we've been doing it throughout but its incredible what you can create and do when you play forwards, vertically opposed to sideways and horizontal isn't it. Far more positive! Long ball or long pass? Whatever terminology you want to use it was great to see. -
I thought he'd already left (Permanently)! The previous regime took it's toll on me and my interest was waning thus I have no idea who we've still got and who's left, the same goes for who is our player and who isn't! I'm getting there.

Alot of questionable things happen at our club, alot is made of it being too friendly and family orientated, too nice, welcoming to away fans but atleast we’re not Sunderland. Modern football, across the board. Crikey.

Couple of years back I seem to remember the Stoke FA Cup game was moved supposedly not on TV but turned out to be on BBC Red Button or iPlayer, possibility of this being the case?* *Would have thought someone else may have suggested this already or confirmed it by now so apologies if already been mentioned.
-
Too right, look at the work he did in order to allow us to have this season we're having! I'm sure he realises this and is standing back admiring his work. Credit where credit's due.

Huddersfield (H) 4-1 - New Years Day - Post-Match Thread
Matt replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Getting quite routine it's a struggle, very slow and patient but then you know we'll switch it on ahead of half time if not start of the second half. Good game, without being cocky, bigheaded, entitled, it's too easy really but we can only play who we play! -
Looks good! Glad he got a goal, two! Gives him confidence straight away! Was hoping he'd manage a third. I was hoping he'd be given long in his cameo appearances previous to todays full debut in order to find him a goal and give him confidence but nevertheless it's came today!

Not going to post it but one of The Second Tier/Second Tier Pod recent posts. Obsessed.
