One difference, personality wise on Vichai vs Top - is that the club did appear to have a much better 'culture' under him. But that could well be down to individuals - Pearson, Whelan, crop of players etc. Ultimately I think the main difference between Vichai and Top eras is that we simply signed tranches of players that were simply worse under Top than those under Vichai. And from their the death spiral on and off the pitch comes about. As you say, I think systemically/structurally the club was actually quite similar in both eras, but better players in the early days insulated us from it a lot of the time.

Jordan James joins on loan - Official

Bloody hell you've got the eyesight of a hawk and mind-reading powers as well! -
Because he isn't captain. He just gets it by default by being the most stale player in the squad.

We've been wildly inconsistent all season, I wouldn't be surprised by any result in any fixture. It's stringing together the results we need to stay up that's the problem. Thin margins though, because who knows what happens if Okoli doesn't have the biggest of brain farts 5 mins into King's tenure? Or if we score that last minute winner vs Stoke?

Jamaal Lascelles joins on deal until end of season - Official

We’d we bottom (but for Wednesday’s decision) without Fatawu’s contribution. im not saying he’s a saviour but the reality is he still possesses the ability to create something out of nothing and to score worldies. If he does that and can play like he did in the early part of the season then it could be the difference -

Not the problem. And a clear upgrade on Nelson and Okoli from what I’ve seen. We need him, James and Fatawu to play as many mins as possible between now and the end of the season and for them to perform and we might have a chance of staying up -
Lots of tin foil hats in this thread

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Les-TA-Jon replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The problem with Daka and Ayew is just ‘choose which flavour of bad’ you want. Daka can press and run, but can’t control it or stay on his feet. Ayew can control it and hold it up but plays with his head down and doesn’t bring others into the game. Reality is, both of them generally kill any attack they’re involved with. -
Think that was all club driven though right? An attempt to try and rebuild a connection with the city/fans

£105m over 3 years in the PL. But that's 'allowable' losses. There's all sorts of 'add-backs' a club have use to not count against it. Such as infrastructure, women's football, youth football, community projects. So you can have total losses of, say £300m, but if you have £200m of add-backs, you don't breach.
-
Note that Cooper, RVN and Cifuentes were all seen to 'say the right things' when they started too...
-
AI is largely nonsense - it provides plausible sounding answers to the questions you give it - it doesn't necessarily give accurate or even actual answers... Your image itself contains obvious contradictions and inaccuracies. The 5th Feb Six-Point deduction outcome was for the period ending 23/24 (Enzo promotion season). So lots of the sentences it spat out make no sense.
-
Still time for us to beat our own record! 28 and counting with 12 to play
-
Would it though? The 6 point deduction is for period ending FY24, (Enzo promotion season). So should have been applied in last season, under RVN. So if we get another punishment this season, for season ending FY25, that would be consistent
-
The current 6 point deduction is for period ending FY24 (Enzo promotion season). So this punishment is already a season late (in part because of our protestations). So if the EFL punishes us (again) this season, for period ending 24/25 that would actually be 'consistent'. We'd only end up with 2 deductions in the same season because we delayed the one we 'should' have had last season (RVN relegation season)
-
Isn't it the case that we also should have had a points deduction when we went down in 22/23? If so, this isn't much of a defence for us.
-
I think you're misunderstanding something here. The quote from Leicester's statement is saying 'this provides the club with certainty on [the time period in question] for compliance for FY25' not 'the commission has said LCFC have complied for FY25'
-
Are you being thrown out by the deduction? West Brom are on 35 points out of 34 games. We're on "40" points out of 34 games. There's not much in it, but on season long PPG, West Brom finish below us, albeit only by 0.7points
-
West Brom gone ahead…
-
Blackburn losing now
-
He’s had a great start for us. But remember players like Tete…
-
I’d still rather us score the opening goal. Despite games like Southampton 3-4, we’ve generally been poor when conceding first, for about 4 years…
-
The main issue is that we've breached PSR 2-3 times in order to what? Preside over the worst ever PL relegation (in terms of underperformance), get relegated a 2nd time and now to have a squad that can only achieve bottom half Championship or a very possible relegation to League One, despite still having 10 of the top 20 paid players in the division and by far the biggest wage bill.

Sheffield Wednesday relegated from Championship

11 points out of 33 games without the deduction. Currently on track for 15.3 points for the whole season. Or minus 2.7 with... -
Stoke 2-2 LCFC, post-match thread

Think it’s ‘only’ 27 games without a clean sheet? In a row that is.
