Him as captain and Hamza as vice captain is symptomatic of the malaise of the squad rather than reflective of any real leadership skills. Both players get it almost be default as the players who are most experienced (i.e most stale/been here longer than everyone else).

Many, many people said the same about RVN and Cooper before him - which is quite telling isn't it? Marti has been terrible no doubt. But isn't it very likely the club appoints someone equally uninspiring as his replacement? Again, it's not really about what we want as a forum/fanbase and more about what we think the club is likely to do. Personally I imagine they know that promotion is incredibly unlikely this season, so therefore the only real objective is to avoid relegation. If Marti is doing that then they'll see no reason to sack him, especially when there's a financial cost to doing so and things continue to be tight.

This is what I'm thinking. Without the full league table it's kinda worthless. For all we know, the entire league might be in the 107 to 111km range.

I think there will be interest in Jan, which we'll knock back. Summer 2026 will be the tough one / obvious time to sell. But he'll only be 22 and will still have 3 years left on his contract, so (other than being in the Championship) we'll decent leverage to get, say £30m+ If deductions/PSR all 'resolved' by then, we could even have a strong enough position to keep him, if we're rebuilding/spending for a promotion push in 26/27
