  1. so, how exactly is a kid from within an hour of the club joining as his first club "bad and just ruthless"? We're one of his local teams...
  2. the greedy six have built themselves one hell of a protection racket. Force clubs to sell their youth players to comply with financial rules, then just poach the youth players anyway to ensure you can't build a team to compete with them by constantly turning over youth team players
  3. he's such a hard brexit manager, this sort of shit was outdated in the late 90s
  4. it's pure Preki-core. Remember the entire forum watching the press conference for a random American team below the MLS thinking he was gonna be Pearson's replacement because he was "leaving to take a job in Europe".
  5. 100% the penalty for Atletico Madrid in the CL quarters when he was a solid 3 yards outside the box.
  6. that said, if we have found a loophole that the championship reduction applies to T-1, T-2, that would just kick the can back a year, as for 2024/25 accounts, we would definitely have T-1 (2023/24) as a championship season...
  7. well yea, that's what w'll be judged on. the intent of the rules is very much that a side that goes down and comes back up again has the season of championship value on it, however any lawyer worth their salt knows there's a world between intent and letter. this is probably why the club are "confident" of passing, because we think we've got a loophole
  8. No blue check, just stupid for the love of the game.
  9. 32k is wildly optimistic, you've seen our fanbase right?
  10. id rather we fold than be bought by a bloke having a prolonged mental breakdown and trying to force everyone to like him because his daughter stopped speaking to him. Like **** me, y'all think King Power are bad for just demanding fealty from fan groups in return for not being screwed over constantly, imagine how much worse it would be under Phony Stark.
  11. I mean there's something of a difference between being a beneficiary of crony capitalism and establishing a dodgy monopoly to make money, and being involved in drug trafficking. One is grossly unethical, the other is something everyone would agree is a crime.
  12. I see that, but ultimately between paying wages well above what we could afford or banking a big profit on a bloke who'd been here a matter of months and going for a new coach, the latter would have been a far more sensible approach
  13. while I agree that ultimately the system was torn apart during the Rodgers era, I wouldn't say it was necessarily to stroke his ego so much as he played Top and Rudkin for the pair of utter chumps they are. We gave him a massive contract extension and payrise just 9 months into a 39 month contract and at the first good run of form, making him better paid than the real Madrid manager at the time. Utterly stupid and should never have been signed off on as it was obviously a bad idea in the first place.
  14. yea, Gateshead were denied participation in the national league playoffs last season as they didn't have a 10 year lease on their ground.
  15. that's why evertons appeal was successful in reducing the sanction to 6 points iirc
  16. breach cannot be more than 8 points deduction as it has to be less than the punishment for Administration (-9).
  17. they'd be idiots to apply a bigger punishment because we successfully appealed against any punishment last time. That'd be cut and dry and abuse of power and result in us taking them to the cleaners again
  18. it's 21/22, 22/23, 23/24 we're looking at, with 83m allowance as one season in the championship. we posted losses of 92m and 90m in those first two seasons (prior to deductables) so really we need to have made like 100m profit in the championship to have complied.
  19. let's be honest, he doesn't know or care what the fanbase think
  20. requires a board that don't just give the manager carte Blanche to do what they want, or if they do, a manager who has heard of abroad...
  21. well that's just desserts for wolves getting bailed out by VAR again. always getting the rub of the green from it
  22. yes? like God, the knuckle draggers up the road are bad enough as it is, them getting some actual success for the first time since Thatcher was PM would be hell on earth. I would rather see football made illegal than Forest win a single thing.
  23. so again, the point of conversation was on Cooper: Cooper had seen ward play, RVN had not. Cooper made it clear Ward was above Iversen in the pecking order, he was obviously going to continue to pick Ward. That is not saying Ward should be playing that game, he should have had his contract torn up 2 years ago, it's saying the expectation that Cooper would have done any different is wrong, the only thing he'd have done different is not being Stolarcyk back the moment he was fit.
  24. the manager has to want to come here... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8ew2lk4zp9o
  25. it's when we're chasing a game, he brings on a CB with more pace than Vestergaard or Coady to avoid losing anything on the counter while committing more forward
