Take out the summer signings and our lineup would have been something like: Hermansen Ricardo Faes Vestegaard Kristensen Winks Ndidi Soumare Mavididi Vardy Fatawu Sure, not great but Ricardo, Vestegaard, Winks, Ndidi, Vardy all have multiple seasons of "premier league experience". Soumare, Faes, Mavididi have several seasons in top flight french football behind them. Kristensen has serie A football behind him. The only two who hadn't played in "the big five" leagues (Prem, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue Un) were Hermansen and Fatawu, two of the brightest young players in the EFL last season. It needed addition of quality in CM, and squad depth, not just "premier league experience" as if we were ipswich and had come up two seasons running and had a squad of mostly league one players
