  1. Puel, Cooper, Ruud, even Enzo to a degree (there was a bit of downing tools towards the end of last season). how many managers do the players have to undermine and try and force out before we admit that the problem is the chummy culture between players and owner meaning no standards are enforced and that's what needs to actually change.
  2. 7pm on a ****ing Sunday?
  3. the latter part is true tbf. That's not because the facilities aren't good, they're elite, but while the likes of Man City and Real Madrid wouldn't be made better from moving back to park pitches and dodging dog turds while training, the facilities alone don't make them elite clubs, it's because they've staffed those elite facilities with coaches and players to match, with a culture of improvement and accountability. We've not, because all the way to the top it's "are you mates with the owner, congrats, have a promotion". the impact of the facilities has been limited because we need to drain the swamp, kick out those in the board, the coaching environment and the playing staff who treat it as a day spa for a laugh and go crying to Aiyawatt when asked to actually work for their exorbitant pay cheques, and build anew with a proper club culture. At that point, we'll see the benefit of them.
  4. ah, we're signing Shaqiri
  5. get yourself a 12 foot ladder
  6. can't believe there's footage of it:
  7. I mean, we expected this right? only Cleveland was non consecutive before the Cheeto Caligula, and that was before term limits so he was always gonna push for the non consecutive means term limits don't apply stuff.
  8. not so much a clock as the solstices (although I guess you could argue that's a type of long-term clock, but I'd argue more for a calendar being the closest equivalent)
  9. hey, that sounds very very familiar. Is Rudkin still involved with you guys or did you get your own board that reports in to KP?
  10. nah that's absolute bollocks and just says there's not any standards or accountability for the players. No club is improved by having shitter training facilities.
  11. in this thread? absolutely
  12. yep, but he's foxestalks chosen scapegoat for the crime of not being Vardy, so he'll get dogs abuse for absolutely no reason.
  13. nah, match day is Sunday, so Rudders will push his rest day to Monday
  14. it's disparately assembled because we let a bloke who's only recruitment criteria was "they've been on match of the day" have the summer window, but he is the only one since 2017 who hasn't recruited for possession football. Dyche is very much not for that, he will be wanting shithouse defenders and a focus on wing play with a target forward. We have no shithouse defenders, no target forward and one fit senior winger who isn't league one at best, and he's woefully out of form. Dyche would be an absolute disaster and the only reason to appoint him is so he can fail and people can stop suggesting him every bloody time.
  15. yep, the most basic rule of all protests is cover any identifying marks (eg tattoos) and cover your face.
  16. not happening, it's the most braindead take that's so pervasive among football fans. The reason things were so shit under Cooper is, firstly because he's a shit manager, but also because his style of play does not work for the squad we've assembled. It'd be even worse under Dyche or another 90s throwback because this squad is built around Enzos style, it's built for high counter pressing and maintaining possession in front of low blocks. If RvN walks and we get "an experienced manager", we go down sub 20 points. The only way we stay up if he walks is if we look to the continent or further aboard for an Iraola type manager who plays the style of football this squad has been built for and wants to chance themselves at the PL.
  17. oh no see he's just autistic and you know how it is. My niece is autistic and her parents have a hell of a time trying to stop her from annexing the sudetenland /s
  18. 2% think the summer window was very good
  19. this is the issue though, it's a top notch set up but needs to be staffed properly, and that requires there to be any prospect of progression, which there isn't, because it's a jobs for the boys attitude at the higher levels.
  20. honestly if we'd stayed up I don't think we'd have made any effort to sort out the stupid wage structure, the club did their best to learn no lessons from relegation, they'd have learned even less if we'd stayed up.
  21. didn't that Portsmouth side have a 9 points deduction as well?
  22. ok, so you mention the expected stats, want to mention where that expected points would have had us (20th) or where our xG and xGA were (19th). Under RvN it's 16th for xG and xGA, 17th for expected points. Under RvN the performances have improved in those metrics, but RvN doesn't have the luck Cooper had, doesn't have the squad to pick from that Cooper had (yes, all teams have injuries, however in Fatawu, Ricardo and Hermansen we're missing 3 key players). Under Cooper we were quite lucky, under RvN we've not had the luck, but good performances without luck offer more to build on than playing shit but the manager has been shoving rabbits feet up his arse.
  23. 40% win record, did get them to the playoffs vs Huddersfield. most recent record though is a 17% win rate in the MLS
  24. the boost that season tickets have is exactly why you can't start going to away games though. Let's say you were a member last season, did all 23 away league games, plus Bournemouth and Tranmere. You get a season ticket this year and a season ticket holder from last year who didn't go to a single away game still gets 25 points further ahead of you.
  25. at a guess Rudkin kept trying to fax him an offer letter and got confused why it was coming back to him
