  1. Point still stands mate. Booing one of your own players during a match has never been a good thing. Whatever level, whatever stakes are being played for. Btw my head isn’t in the sand. I criticise the team. I think Winks has been an embarrassment to his profession considering he’s fallen out with almost every manager. But whilst this was the longest shot, a win would’ve kept the season alive and we were one goal away from that. I’m just stating a fact.
  2. My point still stands mate. Booing one of our own players during the match didn’t help and won’t help in the future.
  3. I think the club will be desperate to get rid of all of the high earners still contracted - Winksy, Skipp, Vesty, Souttar, Okoli, BDCR, Hamza, Thomas need to be moved on. Fatawu, Mavididi, Nelson, Stolarcyck and the kids are all on lower wages
  4. Either are better than Rowett but that’s a very low bar.
  5. If we had won last night we wouldn’t be relegated yet. I get the numerous issues with Winks and after Saturday I was massively surprised he was in the squad and then surprised he was actually brought on despite Aribo being on the bench. That’s on our useless manager. But having brought him on, booing in game wasn’t ever going to help us win the 3 points that would’ve kept us interested. If we had won and Blackburn draw or lose tonight it could’ve been game on.
  6. Still not sure booing a player DURING a match every time he kicks the ball is ever helpful to a team trying to win a game. I get the booing before and after an appearance to an extent but during a match isn’t helping anyone.
  7. Surely one of the very worst new manager (non) bounces in the history of Championship football. A terrible appointment. We’ll be seeing a lot of his face on Sky EFL coverage next year because of the number of clubs he’s failed at (and thus he has links to) and the fact he won’t be getting another manager job any time soon.
  8. I genuinely hope Vietes plays, Beggo is shocking and Jakob’s confidence is through the floor. Same goes for Soutts - play the lad ffs. Nelson out for the season so it would have to be Lascelles.
  9. Not the players - there’ll be mainly the kids that deserve our support. It needs to be aimed at Top and Rudkin
  10. He saying Hermansen, Justin etc was sold due to an urgent problem with liquidity. How does he know that?
  11. Written by a staunch Everton fan btw so take some of it with a pinch of salt. They hate us after their points deductions
  12. No mate. The biggest news story on Saturday was fans protesting at the players IN the ground attending the match. Picked up by national media, as well as a stadium of Pompey fans and press An empty away end would’ve given the players an easy ride. An empty away end would’ve meant Winksy could’ve got on the bus without having to answer to some home truths and deal with his own embarrassing reaction.
  13. There’s little evidence that not attending games helps the situation. If you are trying to sell a club, a resilient fanbase is a good start. I’m sure 45k turning up at Newcastle helped sell that club, and still attending gives the opportunity to protest in the stadium. An empty stadium allows an owner who doesn’t give a shit to give even less of a shit. If it makes you feel better though, believe YOUR own narrative. Moan about the many non happy clappers that attend the game and slag them off on social media whilst continuing to watch Leicester on telly.
  14. It wasn’t tame, it was positively toxic and rightly so. Plenty of Pompey fans mentioned it on X - Applauding the LCFC fans’ reaction to the insipid performance of their team.
  15. He’s got another year anyway
  16. Rowett definitely doesn’t have that ppg at Leicester or Oxford.
  17. Points per game don’t lie mate. No revisionism. Cifuentes is a poor manager but Rowett is statistically worse AND he has ditched the young players.
  18. Beggo is an absolute giant but he won’t ever come off his line. Painful to watch. He needs to retire.
  19. Don’t deny your lad, just get the kit on DHGate. £15 all in and you won’t be able to tell the difference these days. They’ve got very good at it!
  20. I’m baffled with your comments suggesting maybe Rowett could do a job next year. There is zero evidence to suggest giving him a chance would be anything other than catastrophic. He’s now averaging well under a point per game. He’s not motivated the group and there’s been no lift or manager bounce. He’s been shown to be predictable with his team selection, formation and tactics. A terrible recruitment that has to end after Blackburn away, if not before then.
  21. Not correct mate. I attend games home and away but I am NOT at fault for LCFC being where they are. That’s down to the owners, the managers and players. I don’t ever remember Newcastle fans not attending matches in protest. Even in their darkest hours under Ashley, 45k were still turning up week in week out. How did it work out for them?
  22. Out of the contracted players still here I’d be happy to see the back of Thomas, Vesty, Okoli, Winksy, Skipp, Hamza, Mavididi and Bobby Reid tbh. Loan them out or sell.
  23. Seagrave was as much about developing new talent through our youth systems and I think it’s pretty clear that there has been an improvement in standards in that respect. The quality of the pipeline looks to be improving to the point that most of us are hoping that the club bring the academy players into the league 1 squad next year. Braybrooke, Aluko, Page, Monga, Joseph, Alves, Nelson etc etc look a step up from older academy graduates like Hamza and Thomas.
  24. Why not rid themselves of Belvoir drive instead?
