  1. Under Marty’s control: Improve defence - Tick Be hard to beat - Tick Battle hard - Tick Press hard - Tick Make subs that achieve the desired outcome - Tick Close out games - Tick Add creativity Add goals The last two largely dependent upon the Board. We’ve got to back him, I really like and rate Marty!!
  2. A frenetic half of typical Championship football. I don’t see much to criticise other than the lack of forward… We knew what the side would look like with Ayew as 9 and it looks exactly as predicted
  3. Good grief this makes me feel old…. He’s about 23 in my head!!!
  4. Yeah I know the one you mean. Those bizarre ways of avoiding injury are an almost sure fire way of getting injured. It’s really daft.
  5. I thought he was going to injure himself avoiding a 50/50 on the edge of their box when he came on. Was a disgraceful lack of challenge
  6. Not against Charlton, I was watching him closely with the vested interest… he stood up and jockied his man almost everytime. He was remarkably disciplined
  7. He didn’t commit a single foul all game. Cost me a 20-1 bet builder!!
  8. I have the same problem with Soumare!
  9. £8 - £10m is a decent price, I’m quite sad to see him go to be fair, but wish him well and hope we use the money!
  10. I think your feelings towards Faes are clouding your judgement then
  11. When the rest of our defense consists of JJ, Hamza, Vests, Thomas
  12. Yeah good points, it really highlights that instead of sensible transfer business, the number one criteria is PSR. Crazy that it’s become the reason to do something and not the backstop protection it was intended to be
  13. I didn’t realise he was in his last year. But yeah I’d make a sensible new 2-3 year contract offer. He’s adequate back up in the Prem, and first team 2nd choice in two positions in the Champ
  14. Whilst I can understand the clamour to sell and refresh the squad, I’m not sure I see the benefit in getting rid of JJ. His attitude and loyalty are never in question, he’s still got 5+ years ahead of him, he can play either side, whilst he’s not the greatest player I just can’t see us replacing him with a £5m better option. The fee needs to be £8-9m to make this trade worthwhile
  15. Arghhh finally a properly titled game thread. Thank you @Foxes96
  16. There I was thinking years were your strong point!!!
  17. Two really great saves today, and some really solid work with crosses and corners. Absolutely happy with Jakub, we have one position covered.
  18. I think that if you still think this in 6 weeks time then it’s a valid point. But criticising the new manager that had less than 1/2 the preseason, has lost players, and has players eyeing the exit is very premature.
  19. Of all the criticisms in the world “copying Enzo ball” is the last one I’d choose to describe our tactics
  20. Watching the ball bounce off Daka’s shins yet again, really does set a low bar for us to sign someone better
  21. Idea for a direct, no frills message: SACK THE BOARD
  22. Not too bothered either way on this…. As long as the bid is over £5m then sell
  23. That would explain it, and suggests that he does write the notes himself and it’s not done for him
  24. I read this as AI generated nonsense, has that really been published in the programme!?
