He attacks the ball really well, makes loads of interceptions, but if it doesn’t come off then he gets rolled and he’s the last man… so it becomes a chance. He’s also reasonably tidy on the ball but as a CB gets concerted pressure and sometimes robbed of possession, again leading to a chance. I think he needs someone covering him, and that’s not always possible at CB…. So… would he not make a decent CDM??? Blood and thunder run around winning the ball back and laying it off??

I should have trusted your editing skills and jumped to the highlight!!
-
He’s triggered an appearance clause that keeps him loaned for the season
-
I wish he’d have mentioned our weak keeper earlier in the article - it would have saved me a minute of wasted time
-
Superb effort, desire and press. Yeah mildly chaotic, but the only thing Ruud could have wished for in 48 hours is desire. The patterns, the plan, the quality will come with coaching. Happy times, I feel like we’ve got our Leicester back!!!
-
Big improvement in intensity, desire, putting a foot in. He’s not going to make the players world beaters in 48 hours but there’s such an obvious improvement.
-
I thought that was a decent starting team …. Until I visited FoxesTalk!!!

Who will benefit most from Ruud's presence ?

Daka El Khannouss Thomas Are my picks… plenty of room for improvement and the raw materials are there - Fit young players, hopefully eager to thrive -

Again, if we keep doing what we usually do we’ll continue to get the same (sh!te) results -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Hopefully they’ve presented a new and different future vision … otherwise he may look to revise this comment!! -
Yes that’s it. You definitely didn’t spend months defending Rudkin with the line, “we don’t know that he’s responsible for [insert blatantly obvious things a DOF has responsibility for] So much so you became caricatured as either Jon or his Mrs / mate. It’s definitely me misremembering 😂 Let’s not revisit that debate again now (have you been deleting your best bits yet?) It’s just great news that you’ve come round to thinking that the Director Of Football, at a football club, would be responsible for, well, footballing stuff. Ruud has already made improvements!!
-
Wholeheartedly agree…. We need to accept that we need time and stability to progress a plan. At least we now feel there’s somebody with a plan so can play our part in getting behind it

Well that burst of unity lasted well!! Nearly 1/2 page in fact!

I feel like I’ve just entered the Twighlight Zone

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

I thought it was nine years ago and eleven goals?? -
I’m just glad we didn’t manage to persuade him that he could manage us from our own golf course - I have a feeling you’re right about the time out not doing him any favours
-
Maybe. Who knows for sure, I’ve read he’s still being paid…. But then I’ve read Moyes / Potter / RVN have all been appointed as our manager …. The press don’t seem to be under any obligation to report facts!
-
Or …. Paid £10m a year to spend 3 years with your young family and on the golf course with zero stress…. Knowing that if you need to work again there’s always punditry or a championship project waiting. I’d do exactly what he’s doing now!
-
I’m sure that Chelsea are paying his wages until he finds a job. It’s on him to mitigate their loss by seeking a job (very likely to be an explicit term in his contract). So he does enough to appear to be looking, with no intention of taking a job until his Chelsea pay day is over

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
5waller5 replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
Welcome Ruud!!! There is no way that you play under the managers he did, in the teams that he did, scoring the goals, and winning the trophies that he did without knowing 100x more about football than our previous manager. He’ll bring ideas, tactics, knowledge, and respect to the changing room. He’ll bring an extra pull factor for new players and have many contacts in the game. I really can see him being successful for us, and being a long term / legend. He doesn’t need the money he’s working for fulfilment. I’m as excited by his appointment as I was for Enzo. Got a feeling he’s going to have a stellar coaching team too! -
Maybe Cooper misunderstood evolution and thought it meant completely scrapping everything that made us good
-
DO gamble Top… For goodness sake show some ambition and not continue with this awful scrape safety mentality
-
I was a massive Puel Outter…. But a new scale is needed for how much I want Cooper out
-
Really gutted for Fatawu, seems like a lovely bloke as well as one of our brightest players. Get well soon x

That’s exactly the beaten, low expectation, unambitious way our board thinks.
