  1. Yesssssss for the first time in 84 years, we’ve scored a goal.
  2. This is a table of average age of formation in the Championship this season, this is the only concern I have when it comes to Danny Rohl. There’s a cluster of other managers though, who have trusted youth quite well. In terms of abroad, you’re probably best to look at managers from the Jupiler Pro League, Ligue 1 or Eredivisie.
  3. Why not swap the Post Horn Gallop with Sam Bailey singing Skyscraper while we’re at it.
  4. Studvig with a strong back 9 💪
  5. Five managers who are doing solid jobs overseas, working with youthful squads and are not possession obsessive… Sebastien Pocognoli - Union SG Thomas Thomasberg - Midtjylland Carles Martinez - Toulouse Paul Simonis - Go Ahead Eagles Alessio Lisci - Mirandes
  6. If Enzo kept with a more intricate style, I think he would have faced the same challenges Southampton did under Martin imo. What I believe Enzo would have done though is make us a threat to counter attack. Ayew and Reid wouldn’t have come through the door, that’s for sure. But as they showed on Monday Night Football, only 4/12 newly promoted teams in the past four season’s have stayed up. All four went about it in a different manner rather than tippy tappy nonsense. Brentford were horrible to play against. Forest & Bournemouth weren’t pretty but gritted it out, now they’ve both built a fast & direct style under Nuno & Iraola. While in Fulham’s case, they already had a goalscorer in Mitrovic, while the signing of Palhinha transformed them. To give yourself the best chance of staying up, you have to have some physicality about you, while in an attacking sense, you have to be a threat on fast breaks/counter attacks. We haven’t showed any of those two things, especially under Ruud.
  7. Enzo’s fingerprints are still firmly on our current squad, no doubt many of them would be better suited to a Martin style over a Dyche one. But I’ve banged this drum on here for the past week, heavy possession is all well and good in the Championship, but recent history for newly promoted teams shows it’s not the right ingredient in the Premier League. Just look how Kompany and Martin both failed because they were too stubborn in their ways. If the Premier League continues to evolve like it is, newly promoted teams are probably best off with a Nuno type, or Iraola, Frank, Glasner. Managers that are not obsessed with being Man City lite. That’s why we should be turning our attentions to someone like Danny Rohl or similar. Martin may get you up, but would his specific style keep you up, if this season is anything to go by…no. So maybe a venture abroad with a City Group team might actually be best for him.
  8. This is what he said on Lineker’s podcast, with how frustrated a lot of our fanbase is with that style, he’s best to stay away. I’m not sure there’s certain clubs I could go into and ask for real patience when the goalkeeper is standing on the ball for 25 seconds and they want it put forward quickly because that’s what they’ve been used to. "I am aware that I’ve probably limited my job options somewhat." He added: “I’m really aware that my next venture might be abroad as well. I’d be open to that. I want to do that at some point."
  9. Fvck you Cov, great finish though 😬
  10. I think it’s highly possible that the club will go the safe route this time, especially when this season’s top three consist of Farke, Wilder and Parker. The problem is though, every single free option with experience of managing in England are just so uninspiring. Russell Martin - Possession obsessive Sean Dyche - Dull football and loves experienced squads Gary O’Neil - PPG% is shocking Rob Edwards - Fvcked his reputation this season David Wagner - Shouldn’t be considered Steven Gerrard - Did well in the SPL, but flopped elsewhere It’s such a crap list. But if Rohl ends up at Southampton, I’m really struggling to find a decent alternative. The likes of Carrick, Manning, Cleverley, Mousinho all come with positives and negatives. Rosenior’s style of play has it’s question marks, and why would he leave Strasbourg. Another assistant like Maresca, I’ll use Davide Ancelotti as an example would be another massive gamble. While the up-and-coming managers across Europe might not be totally ready yet, look how average Johannes Hoff Thorup has done at Norwich for example.
  11. Couldn’t find anything earlier but just looked again. Shocking and disgusting if guilty, if that’s the case, hope he gets sent down for a good while.

  13. And I gave my reasons why we shouldn’t give a footballing dinosaur the Leicester job. Dyche has certain characteristics that a chunk of Leicester fans probably wouldn’t mind, but like you I want exciting attacking football, and I gave my reasons why we shouldn’t go near him. But Thomas Frank is a great example of the type of personality we need right now, he has certain characteristics especially when it comes to managerial style that we are in desperate need for. There’s numerous younger managers out there who bring hard work and graft to their philosophy. I’m not in the camp where managers such as Dyche and Moyes are the only one’s who can bring such traits. Finding a manager who fits that bill though is hard to come by. As you said to me the other day, football is heavily system oriented nowadays, where more managers care more about that side of the game, rather than building the right culture.
  14. In terms of personality traits, what’s the correct answer then Finners? Do we really want to fall into that cycle again of having an unmotivated dullard as our manager again, we’ve gone through plenty of them in my lifetime especially. The type of managers you just know are not the right fit for Leicester City. The best managers we’ve had in my lifetime, O’Neill, Pearson, Ranieri. They all had personality, charisma and in O’Neill and Pearson’s cases especially you knew they could be no nonsense. As you’ve said yourself, when Pearson came in, he cleansed the squad, signed the right personalities and gave us a certain culture. That’s where his no nonsense approach came into play though, he had a certain approach to his management and thinking and it worked a treat. We need a manager who will bring that certain style of approach again. That is going to be the most important thing for us next season. Some fans just get the assumption that Sean Dyche is in the right mould to do that. There’s certain managers out there who you just know wouldn’t bring the right culture. We’re in the shit mate, where a shift in culture is badly needed, who’s in the right mould to do it though?
  15. The problem with Dyche is. 1) Style of football 2) Prefers experienced squads, Burnley & Everton always had one of the oldest squads in the division during his reigns 3) A 32 year old Michael Keane will probably be his first signing Of the type of shit we’re in, could we probably do with a personality like him, I’d say yes. But him personally, not for me, too many negatives.
  16. Haven’t disliked a Leicester manager this much since the Megson & Holloway combo in 07-08. One of the most clueless, unmotivated, dullards that this club have ever employed. We need no nonsense, charisma, a motivator to get us out of this mess. We badly need another Nigel Pearson. Otherwise I fear we’ll hit another 04-08 period again.
  17. If we lose heavily, then our fans can just chuck themselves off Brighton Pier afterwards.
  18. Bit disrespectful to Lucy imo.
  19. Not to worry, they’ll be here soon…
  20. All those empty seats It’s like being back in the 05-08 era.
  21. Monga!!!!!!!! Ruud in.
  22. Top is having a game of Polo against L’Oreal.
