  1. Cannon will surely go out on loan. If we don’t get in a first choice striker then we are idiots.
  2. Bin off Soumare for a more energetic CM is the only thing I’d add to that.
  3. He also made the 23/24 Ligue 2 team of the season. While you’re looking at France, take a look at Kamory Doumbia of Reims(On loan at Brest last season) 👍🏻
  4. Tbh I was a bit surprised to see him linked as he is quite similar to what we already have. The question mark if we do sign him would be which version will we end up getting. The Montpellier version was one of the best young strikers in France, but if we get the Lens version, we’ll be getting very frustrated with him pretty quickly 👍🏻
  5. Get your tits out for the lads Get your bits out for Wahi
  6. Could have done that ourselves and loaned him to Leuven.
  7. Where’s the fvck this one come from @Ric Flair 😳
  8. Finners has already referenced his past issues so no need to go into the details of that. In terms of the football side of things, I can’t say I’m surprised that Lens are willing to let him leave. They signed him last summer for a big fee to replace Lois Openda, he came with big expectations after looking like one of the best striker talents in Ligue 1 while at Montpellier, but throughout last season he failed to live up to expectations. He had many games last season where Lens fans were really disgruntled with his performances, his finishing especially at times was abysmal. He is also the type of striker I wouldn’t really associate with holding the ball up and linking play. He is more of a poacher who relies on quick movement in the box and running in behind. Maybe his price tag at Lens weighed on him too heavily, with pressure affecting his performances. At Montpellier his finishing was arguably one of his strongest assets, while at Lens his finishing at times was very snatchy and became a weak point.
  9. Leicester City 25/26 season
  10. Despite his injury issues, I’d love for us to enquire about the possibility of taking Stefan Bajcetic on loan. If we want midfielders who are industrious, he’d be perfect.
  11. Don’t forget to subscribe to his patreon 👍🏻
  12. The odd thing about this link though is why do we need him when we’ve just signed Bobby Reid? Similar age Both predominantly right sided Reid scored six goals last season, Ayew four Similar players when it comes to key passing Similar players when it comes to defensive work Only thing Ayew would give us is his ability to dribble more.
  13. General vibe I’m getting from Celtic fans is that he can blow very hot and cold, injuries probably haven’t helped matters, but on his day he can be excellent, with the ability to do things that other Celtic players can’t. When he’s cold it seems his passing can go awry and he lacks physicality and graft, in all fairness that shows up in his defensive stats which are bang average. Think the best way to describe him is a progressive midfielder with a bit of creativity, when going through his stats from the 22/23 season that’s what stands out
  14. Get flicking through this for some bedtime reading 👍🏻 https://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/reo-hatate-leicester-poised-to-make-a-bid-t139082-s4860.html
  15. People are so excited by this link, we’ve been reminded of it three times.
  16. Don’t think this has been posted anywhere, many have probably seen it, but to those who haven’t... It’s clear as day we need reinforcements in the final third, but why on earth did he only give Will Alves 10 minutes.
  17. Ayew is basically a carbon copy of Decordova-Reid, surely we don’t go for another player like that
  18. Another one who predominantly plays RW, starting to think @Ric Flair is actually Martyn Glover or Jon Rudkin, that guy on the BSLB Podcast is an impersonator.
  19. Been looking at attacking midfielders who chip in with good defensive work, Hwang In-beom of Red Star Belgrade showed up quite nicely. Along with good defensive work, he is also very versatile and has good technical ability. Supposedly some Premier League clubs have been looking at him, a snippet of what he’s capable of...
  20. Maybe so Finners, he’ll probably end up in France somewhere, I just find the Monaco link odd as they are one of the most intense pressing teams in Ligue 1, El Aynaoui is injured but I can understand why they wanted him, Soumare would be a weird fit for them, but if they are kind enough to take him off our hands, then lovely jubbly.
  21. To go from wanting one of the more hard working and energetic midfielders in Ligue 1 in Neil El Aynaoui, to looking at a World Class jogger in Boubakary Soumare as an alternative, is like going out to buy a Ferrari but you end up bringing home a Tractor.
  22. Excellent post mate, thoroughly agree with paragraphs 2 & 3 especially. History suggests that Cooper likes his midfields to be of the industrious type, his holding duo at Swansea in Grimes and Fulton were of that nature. In his Championship season with Forest, Yates, Garner and Colback all chipped in with good defensive work. As you say, to make a midfield like that work, you either need good pressers or players who will get stuck in defensively. Harry Winks isn’t the type of midfielder that will go flying into challenges. Soumare isn’t a ball winning midfielder either. We only have Ndidi and Choudhury who can do those jobs, yet Ndidi was yet again played further forward when he should be played alongside Winks. Choudhury will either come in and do a job or run around like an idiotic headless chicken, but of course the last season we were in the Premier League, he was loaned out. The midfield is in desperate need for some creativity and more energy.
  23. Last night’s midfield was just too uninspiring imo. We most definitely need some creativity, but I also think we don’t have enough for the holding roles. We don’t have an alternative to Winks unless Braybrooke gets a shot, atm that’s looking unlikely. Ndidi and Choudhury as our ball winners, is that good enough 🤔 As for a potential Winks & Soumare holding duo, they’d get carved open like a knife through butter when the Premier League teams come calling.
