I was willing to back Aiyawatt given I thought Vichai had done a decent job. I thought the Puel to Rodgers move was really encouraging and a sign that he was serious about it. He's turned out so bad it's barely believable. We're the combination of the worst run club in the country with an astounding number of fans that aren't willing to do anything about it. My confidence in him plummeted early in 2022/23 when Rodgers survived the first 7 games. It was a strange feeling - I was so, so sure he was going to be sacked after the 6-2 loss at Tottenham going into an international break and there were literally zero signs that it had even crossed their minds. I really do mean my confidence plummeted in quite a short space of time. It was that international break where I became convinced he was an idiot and we were in real trouble. The final chance at redemption for me was the summer of 2023 where he had a chance to admit the wrongs. Make drastic changes at the club. Rudkin and Whelan out. Get serious about fixing one of the most unnecessary fumbles in my lifetime. He totally blew it - he let those two mark their own homework. From that point he was at the point of no repair for me. The probability of him all of a sudden realising his errors were tiny from that point. I knew he'd eventually take us back to League One after that point but I have to say even I didn't realise the speed it would happen. He oversaw the most pathetic top flight season in our history and then followed it up with the literal worst season in our history. You would've been considered a psycho for suggesting what has played out, would play out. Even I would've done, and I've definitely got a bit of doom in me. The last two seasons have been worse than a disgrace. If it wasn't for the extraordinary goings on at Tottenham we'd be the laughing stock of the country and we probably are even despite that. He's done so badly that it makes me wonder if I could still make it in the game. I think you could've put more than 50% of this forum in his position from that point and we wouldn't have turned out this bad. We have overpaid players relative to their ability and a culture at the club that does not incentivise high performance. Quite the opposite. Nearly everyone who gets out gets their career back on track. There are no consequences at Aiyawatt's Leicester for failure. It's actively rewarded from the very top. So when there is an even weaker squad next season, given the ability to underperform, given they're able to finish below teams like Oxford United, Portsmouth who pay a very small % of what we do in wages, then why does it stop in League One? They have proven they are capable of falling below teams you would've laughed your head off for suggesting we could fall below in the last 12 months - so I don't see why that stops now. He's an absolute utter disaster.

Lineker's sadly a perfect reflection of our fans in the mainstream - happy to be pushed around. Shearer would never accept Newcastle being dragged through the mud.
-
It's so many that you wouldn't have expected to fall into it as well. So many people are staunch KP who just wouldn't be of the same sort of persuasion if they supported say West Ham. It's completely gone. Irreparable. I'm really sad to concede that but it's true and more and more people will realise this.

4-2-3-1 please

Tells you everything about those subservient losers. I bet Winks thinks they're absolutely pathetic.
-
It's been a horrid signing but it's never really because of anything he's done on the pitch for us and he's rarely had any opportunity. I'd definitely sooner we'd have gone with him than players like Vestergaard and Faes.

Genuinely our best CB

Crap like this are 3rd and we've dropped with two to spare my word.

4 years in total. It got extended to three years for the second thing. Then to four for the social media post. Which was admittedly not a nice post - but again, not a regime stooge, so fair game for whatever in their eyes. I really believe this now.
-
And making Seagrave a complete waste of time. I wasn't anti-Seagrave but we have seen absolutely zero benefit so far.

Got a year ban for being in the vicinity of a smoke bomb, with no proof I'd done it, despite no previous track record. So literally a ban for existing. Appealed it and upheld. Got it extended a year ago for trying to go to a game. I'll own up to that one. Then again I shouldn't have been banned so ultimately, still mostly their fault. In hindsight this was a great decision as I'd have had to have watched most of the 2025/26 season. Got it extended by another year back in January for something posted on social media. The fact they've completely crashed and burned on the pitch is quite funny to me tbh. Quite self-assuring.

Yeah I really have been in a strange position. A mate did point out what would I have done about this if they'd done it in say, August 2016 - and I found it hard to answer. But I also think this is a symptom of the rot and it simply wouldn't have happened back then.

Is this not just sort of inevitable though at every club. You're not likely to have everything set up how you want it and I kind of enjoy just installing that everywhere. To me that's a part of it. I do wonder if the next save I do I might mix it up a little and do something a little different. I could happily just do the same as this all over again in a new country but unsure if to branch it out a little and go to another continent. Maybe even another crack at the pentagaon as my laptop actually flies through this. In reality I'll probably just end up in the 2nd tier of like Slovenia.

There's nothing like it at any other club. I've never heard anything like it.

I don't think I've ever used anything except for encourage. I used to use fire up a lot when I was Andorra because Andorra.

Heard from numerous people that those either side of SK1 were basically goading them when we went 2-1 up the other night I know that Blackburn fan on here made a decent post but there's nothing like this place. It's mental.

To which they did the most predictably half arsed, tickbox job they could've done as well. I fully expected to get banned at some point. It was 2022/23 where they took the anti-fan sentiment to a new level with some bans to people of my sort of ilk. I seem to remember someone getting a ban for tweeting about Rudkin & Whelan being ****s - in the midst of a relegation battle. This was also the period of time where they introduced the ticket spot checks at away games. Where they chose to inconvenience people during an already crap time, despite it being something they're guilty of doing themselves. I know of somebody who was selected at least four times (the odds of this would be well in the thousands) as well so again, clearly, this was personal and not 'random'. Like I said earlier, listen to the bloke after me as well. It's not the same thing but it was another example of anti-fan sentiment they have. It's one thing to do this to people anyway if you assume there are thousands ready to replace them, but the fact they do this when it's clearly no longer the case. They're a dreadful, dreadful club with their fans now. It's not even a tough decision for me to not want to hand over money for that crap. They've broken my habit and cycle a bit. It will not take a lot for me going forward to save my money and keep doing what I'm doing now even if I have the alternative option. I'd also say I'm likelier for one off games to go to away games anyway than home.

I think team talks are pretty easy anyway once you've got the hang of it - too easy in fact. But you're right and I've never even really thought to just say nothing if we're 3-0 up at half time (which is not often nowadays mind).
-
"The fatal mistake of telling his team he's pleased" made me smile. It's so true. I'd far rather be 2-0 up at half time so that I can tell them "it's good, but you can do better" than 3-0 where I don't get the option. It could be a subconscious thing regarding tactics but I've often had 2 or 3 reliable ones in hand so that I can switch it up if I need to and I've nearly always felt like I've had an initial bounce. But then I've often targeted particular games as well which goes beyond tactics - team meetings prior to winnable games rather than trying to raise morale only to have it shot down again by a loss at Partizan etc

After January's window and the subsequent agent fee announcement I'm now about 95% convinced we don't actually do any scouting and just let agents do everything for us. It's why we never actually address weaknesses in the team and just seem to get a lucky dip of players arrive in deadline day. They're so, so pig-headed to reality and just think everything magically fixes itself. X club fixed itself, so we will fix ourselves, failing to take into account why X club actually fixed themselves. Lascelles was the only signing I could really see the logic in and that was never a sure thing by any means - a risk with his lack of gametime. Hasn't really improved us. Hasn't really played a lot anyway and often when he has we've had to waste a sub because he can't hack 90 minutes. Mukasa looked decent early doors while fresh out of a football club with a winning mentality but has soon become very much a part of the rot - he's been Leicestered and probably wasn't even worth bringing in. Aribo and Richards - predictably both a complete waste of time and money and have somehow offered even less than Soumare and Carranza. But it's OK. It's the same people. The "we'll be fine" mentality is a self-fulfilling nightmare because the further we sink, the less likely they are to take it seriously. They won't think there will be any effort needed to overcome Stevenage or Leyton Orient. They've had their noses bloodied by clubs you would've absolutely ridiculed people for suggesting we could finish below 12 months ago, so I've no idea why more of the same couldn't play out. Rudkin has thrown the towel in. It's remarkable to me how he gets through the day. I have instances where I cock up myself and would at least try and rectify it if I'd fallen behind. This lot just seem to feel further empowered the worse things get. TLDR: No, they will not have a clue and they will turn to the agents as per.

I flick between two tactics mainly anyway and think I probably need another. I think a bit of a key was fooling the AI into thinking I would play one when I was going to play the other and that is particularly what caught out Radnik Sudurlica for example. The performances were never as bad as the results. I think we finished 3rd or 4th in the xg table. I put the majority of it down to a total collapse in form of my goalkeeper (with the backup coming in and doing even worse, very Stolarczyk/Begovic) and something I should've addressed but Mirosavljev just simply dropping off. He's retired in the summer. Spotted another bug regarding him - his 'staff' page actually makes him a good scout and I wanted to retain him but the board never let me, and as soon as he's actually retired and left the club, his attributes are now pretty crap and isn't someone I would bother hiring. Why have his attributes changed? We ended up being a bit too mish mash of a team. A combination of assuming I was going to get money to spend, not getting it for another year, bringing in a load of loanees and about 8 players who couldn't play in Europe, drop off in form anyway, a fairly key sale that I'd overlooked as a big issue in the summer, loads of players at once deciding they were exploring the possibility of leaving. I did do a lot of things wrong but ultimately haven't paid the price and think I'd been a bit unlucky anyway in a lot of games. It shouldn't have ever gotten as close as it did, but we got through it and keeping three relatively comfortable clean sheets at the end is a sign of a return to the old. £3mil in Serbia is huge money. Forgot to mention as well the wage budget going from £13k a week to £36k a week as well - the fact Serbian players demand so little money means wages are basically not going to be a problem for us for domestic players, it's just convincing them to actually come. What I'm a little worried about though is it seems to be hard for us to buy younger prospects and sell them on for good money - virtually everyone demands a release clause and the wages are so bad here that there aren't many options for signing these wonderkids. Forget raiding South America over here. I'm still only scouting Eastern Europe because it seems pointless at the minute to go any further. The good news is they've announced a new stadium is coming as well. I don't know if this is really factored into the game but we were never very good at 'home' (Pancevo, not our actual home). It would be quite cool in a way if they had factored that in as an obstacle. Maybe it was. No announcement on date but get us back into Vrsac. Our average crowd was about 800 last season.

Last 10 games form table, of the 5 sides that were being spoken of as a part of it... WBA - 7th, 17 points Oxford - 9th, 15 points Blackburn - 10th, 14 points Portsmouth - 14th, 12 points Leicester - 21st, 8 points In that period, we have played the teams who are 17th, 19th, 20th, 23rd and 24th and beaten one of them. The other four have finished well. All of them went with a fight. Oxford have gone down fighting but just fallen short. Leicester were an embarrassment and a disgrace.

We got everything we deserved. We'd have finished bottom most seasons - a completely staggering level of underperformance. You think we'd go 0-3 up at Sheff Utd with the pressure on like that? We'd do absolutely **** all. They absolutely twatted us home and away. Oxford are going down as well but their relegation couldn't be more different really. There's no real disgrace in theirs. Frustration and sadness but nothing disgraceful at all. They've probably got the second lowest wage bill in the division, so it was kind of inevitable. Hope they finish above those rats masquerading as LCFC 'players'. Although would like to see Wednesday get to 0 points too so.
