I feel like it's 'too' obvious to give us Wrexham and that they're using up two in one there. Reckon it'll be something like Derby v Leicester, Wrexham v Coventry, Birmingham v Southampton or Ipswich.

We'll get something relatively interesting on the opening day for sure. I'm sure they've as much as admitted it's rigged for quite an interesting set of fixtures due to it being a week before the Premier League and all eyes on it. So I'd say we're almost certainly going to be on TV first weekend. I'll say Derby away.

It's one of those things that was so obviously dumb I really wonder if it's some sort of backhander. I wonder if it's at all linked to the Maddison deal. Like Praet that came before them as well - another expensive midfielder, big wages, that was basically never first choice.

I'm sceptical of AI but not a chance it pays £20mil for Oliver Skipp.

Gray was a good signing for the money but it didn't work out really and we held on way too long.

The leaks are always nonsense until the day itself. They're out at 12 for some reason but would imagine by about 10 you'll have a pretty good idea.

I'm saying this from a position where I think people are generally quite harsh on his capabilities as a manager. The Rudkin thing is a problem for me though, this is going to create another unaccountable body at the club. He will be bulletproof and while he might be a success, if he isn't, I don't think we can risk that personally.

First started to really turn on Aiyawatt, or really have concerns about him when he failed to sack Rodgers at the start of 2022/23. These were big red flags. Everything that's happened since has gone about as disastrously as anybody could've imagined it. There'll be a lot of be careful what you wish for posts but if somebody had five years ago as we'd come back into the season during lockdown with about an 80% chance of qualifying for the Champions League told me that in five years time we'd have come off the back of our second relegation in three years from the Premier League, a very likely points deduction based on reckless financial mismanagement, those in place of this seemingly impossible decline to still have kept their jobs, even I, somebody capable of being a doom-merchant, would've called you mad. Aiyawatt had credit in the bank, arguably luckily as it was inherited credit, and long used it all up for me. The common thing you read is that if he just got rid of Rudkin & Whelan he'd be OK. But I've no idea how much more evidence we need that he simply isn't going to. We have undertaken under him the most rapid, most implausible decline I can remember. From probably the 7th most powerful club in the country to one that are now tipped as less likely to play in the Premier League in 2026 than Coventry City or Middlesbrough. And it's entirely self-inflicted. I've had enough. I've seen enough. King Power themselves look increasingly a busted flush and the behaviours you see at LCFC themselves explain why. They're at the point of no return for me. A hundred times out.

Pragmatism works both ways. Someone like Martin is an idealist but if Dyche was to stick with playing a certain way that handicaps us then that absolutely can't be called pragmatism.

Think I'm just about on the anti side. I think he's a better manager than a lot give him credit for but I think if you factor in the following: - Everton fans have accused him of reputation management similar to Brendan Rodgers - The possibility of it simply not working - Him being pally with Rudkin You've got the potential of another completely toxic 2022/23 like scenario where everyone's at loggerheads but the manager will be held to no account because he's Rudkin's mate. This lowers the floor of Dyche at Leicester and makes it a little too risky for me.

Unfair - I don't think we need to appoint a manager with a view to him being here for a decade. If Dyche was to be here until say October 2027, got us promoted 2025/26, scraped survival 2026/27, started slowly and was moved on early 2027/28 - I'd be perfectly OK with this. I think it's likely better than what's actually going to play out.

If what they're doing has put ourselves into a position where we don't have a pot to piss in then yes, I would expect us to change our approach. Obviously that won't happen here though where everything else is the problem and we're in the right.

I'm quite mixed. Think he's better than many treat him as but unsure if it's the correct direction to take.

Not enough time has passed for the Moyes Everton upturn to be called anything more than a new manager bounce. Even if it is more I don't think Moyes being better than Dyche is some massive revelation. Are we expecting to get a manager in as good as Moyes? We are in such a mess off the pitch. Our entire off field process is random so we really can get virtually anything. We're a good case study of randomness in football. Dyche is above average. I did find the whole Rodgers-esque reputation management thing quite interesting though from the Everton fan. I can see that becoming a thing down the line. I think this would get worked out here fairly quickly if it were true

Those weather related delays are going to be a real pain next year.

This is all completely obvious stuff but it makes me think that Rudkin is simply not in place at all for his own supposed acumen. It's got to be another reason.

That article does more to push us to thinking there's something in this PSR thing and not so much that Dyche is going to get the job. 1/2 favourite hardly tells you it's a done deal.

I think he'd probably be more pissed off with the absolute shitshow that's been served up personally but maybe you think less of him than you think.
