  1. I am firmly a believer that the technology is massively flawed but my god, these English officials really don't help the case. Totally fuelling the "it's the refs" argument - I think both are possible. PGMOL needs either a total overhaul or disbanding. Whatever it is we're doing isn't working. How can the Premier League with this much money and prestige have some of the worst referees in Europe? Only a matter of time until they start drafting some in from abroad.
  2. I just want to think he's not a one trick pony. I think he'd admit himself that he wanted a bit better than that. I think if he tries to attack with speed and he isn't entirely wedded to one way in every game he will win people around here.
  3. It's a myth, and the point about the media more so. Our media are far kinder than pretty much any of our counterparts. They definitely snapped yesterday though.
  4. He's the luckiest manager in football. Even in this group he's lucked it through both of the other games ending in draws.
  5. Pragmatism doesn't necessarily just mean 'defensive'. He simply has to improve on what he served up at Forest. I had real fears about Maresca's football in this league but if he produces the same here as he did at Forest in their PL days then we're going down for sure.
  6. That Phillips quote sums him up. Just try and see the funny side in this exit. Probably better for England's longer term future if it's to someone like Austria as he probably doesn't survive it.
  7. I know this is probably massive cope on my part but I do think he seems like the sort of personality that our fans will come to get behind in time. Still finding it hard to process he's ended up with us to be honest.
  8. He's a left back in a 4 I think. Too many writing him off after that goal earlier - admittedly it was dreadful.
  9. I think what's quite telling, is that plenty of people on here, Twitter etc... who are usually defensive are being critical themselves. I've not seen the pundits lose it like this over England since probably Iceland. The only ones who are peddling the usual bilge, worryingly for England, are the players and manager. Said pre tournament I thought we'd beat anybody from 5th or below and then lose to anybody else but that line is dropping no end. I think we're ripe to lose to someone like an Austria or a Turkey. Imbalanced, lethargic, clueless. Very badly coached team and Southgate must surely know in his own head now that he's got to go. He'll probably say as such when we're out. This is quite considerably the worst we've looked in a Southgate tournament. Two dreadful performances.
  10. Favourites my arse. I might have to drop the "anyone decent beats England" to "anyone about 8th down beats England". We barely look better than Slovenia.
  11. Southgate really is a coward.
  12. The North Koreans would be ashamed of this propaganda
  13. A symptom of the absolute joke of a hierarchy we have.
  14. As I said in the ticket price thread - there is no redeeming feature to these owners. I've no reason to doubt this, it all sounds straight out of the usual playbook from them. Can't wait until they've ****ed off.
  15. I like the fact he isn't totally dogmatic and despite it being Forest, much like Mark Robins, I've always never really minded him. But my god he's got to be better than he was there in the Premier League era. They were bloody awful. Extremely fortunate time and time again and cannot help but feel that their home crowd got them over the line many a time that season. I don't think we're going to quite have that about us - he starts on the back foot here. It will not take much for people to turn on him. There's not being Maresca level dogmatic possession but then there's Forest 2022/23. Outplayed game in, game out. I think those blaming the owners are being pretty kind to him, and does this appointment by its own nature not pose serious questions of our own? We're hardly a steady ship are we? There would be something quite Leicester about somebody so derided like this turning out well for us, it does quite often happen, but I don't think that's quite the rationale you can approach appointments with. We've also blown time on this - he could've been here a fortnight ago.
  16. They're winging it and it's obvious. There's no planning. Just winging it and praying for the best. The lot of them are utterly clueless. This ownership at this point has not a single redeeming feature for me. Not one.
  17. It's all karma for 2016. It must be.
  18. Biggest controversy so far involved English officials. No surprise there. Ours are quite possibly the worst in Europe - a product of unaccountability though, so should be expected.
  19. You've just touched on the other point here - relegation. These are prices for what is likely to be pretty bleak viewing on the pitch. I think it's entirely plausible we go back below 30k this season for a game. Imagine that Southampton game 3rd May, already relegated, moved to Sunday 2pm. Yeah you know what I really fancy not spending £50+ on? We need a change of ownership. The reasonable season ticket prices had become one of the only redeeming features. These prices are so disgraceful that you can't give them any leeway on that anymore - closed shop and a ground full of people who are clinging on to avoid making their way back via this route. Totally tired fanbase yet one that wrongly feels indebted to these plonkers. It's miserable stuff. Total total shit.
  20. Think this is my biggest plus about Potter - If you took any two points 12 months apart of a Potter tenure at any of his clubs you would struggle to find one where the latter wasn't stronger. He does seem to progress - albeit pretty slowly.
  21. Potter's 1/10 on Betfair Exchange. He's actually coming.
  22. Such an abysmally run club. Sick to death of people who defend this utter shitshow.
  23. £72 to watch Leicester v Aston Villa - 80p a minute!! That's £3.20 for a VAR decision.
  24. Utterly appalling.
