The defence is very poor, but I think the biggest error, and I've been saying this for years, is lack of proper defensive midfielder. We haven't signed a proper defensive midfielder since Ndidi. We once again failed to do this in January. We have been a soft touch for years. It's been the case since Rodgers. A soft team who are easy to play through, who are bad at fundamental defending. 27 games without a clean sheet is a team getting relegated.

That's not a good weekend for us. Portsmouth won a harder game. Charlton drew a harder game. Blackburn won a harder game. Oxford drew a harder game. West Brom the only loser, but to top of the league. Our chances of dropping increased this weekend.
