  1. Absolutely laughable. What a complete farce. King Power out.
  2. It can't really be denied that he had a good first couple of seasons - although I think if you're being ultra critical there is a case to say we could have done even better, particularly with the way we fell off in both seasons, especially the first. The new contract he got in November 2019, just eight months in was a sign of how small-time we were starting to act. As if he was bigger than us. Not sacking him during 2021/22 was an error. Not sacking him in 2022/23 was a level of incompetence I've never witnessed, so none of what has followed has really come as that great a surprise to me - particularly given those who are responsible for these decisions are under no pressure ever, never held accountable. That nothing changed after the 2022/23 scandal was where I knew we were done beyond repair under this owner. 2022/23 was where my anger peaked. I can't even work myself up to get angry when the problem is so obvious to anybody with a brain.
  3. It's baffling how bad he is now. Just completely gone off a cliff.
  4. I'll be having one hell of a scroll of this before the relegation is completely inevitable. It will numb the pain no end knowing it breaks these enemies.
  5. This needs flagging up more by the way.
  6. Does ring a bell. It's so ridiculous but nothing can be ruled out.
  7. These do appear to be the three worst teams. Leicester, West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday would surely be the collective biggest trio to go down from this league in the same season. That's a bigger trio than you often get drop from the Premier League.
  8. Ipswich - 1-1 draw Bristol City - 1-2 loss QPR - 0-2 loss Watford - 2-1 loss Preston - 1-1 draw Sheff Weds - 1-1 draw Swansea - 1-2 loss Portsmouth - 2-1 loss Hull - 2-3 loss Millwall - 0-1 loss Blackburn - 0-3 win (while already relegated) Ultra pessimistic prediction but it really isn't beyond us. We go on extraordinarily terrible runs.
  9. Seeing Norwich fans protests is where it hit me. This is Norwich City - a slightly smaller club, who have fallen a fraction as far, who have since passed us and totally outplayed us at our own ground at the weekend. Every clubs fans have higher standards than ours - and we've more reason to be pissed off than 90% of clubs minimum. It's mental.
  10. Looking at his body language I doubt he'll stick around - but I bet it would be him turning us down rather than the other way around. Such is life under Aiyawatt.
  11. Too many people think it for this to be the case. I'm astonished by it. This stuff is a far bigger issue than the owners themselves.
  12. The Rodgers appointment is the one thing I think he could possibly take any credit for - we sacked Puel and had him ready within days. They really did think they had cracked it though. Give him the keys, we've done our bit.
  13. Hope I'm wrong but wouldn't be one bit surprised if the bug of this club had got him and he wasn't anywhere near as effective upon return. Fair play to him if he keeps up his form before his injury - was the biggest one horse race for player of the season I've ever seen in football.
  14. The one who said "short memories"? Hilarious projection. That is total fabrication. A sure sign of brainwashing. This must be the point in history where it is most common that people have such confidence in something that they're actually wrong about. I wonder what's actually caused this. It transcends football.
  15. Also on this... did a bit of a delve into Stolarczyk against Begovic. Begovic has actually been pretty comfortably poorer than Stolarczyk in terms of shot stopping. He is not a silver bullet for this team. Stolarczyk has definitely gotten worse in time (as just about everybody does here) but he's still prevented more than he 'should' have done. Though I don't think shot stopping is really his weakness.
  16. My hand is on my heart.
  17. Not necessarily but this is a player who has continuously taken the piss, a player who we turn back to despite this and a player for whom the record doesn't actually reflect well on - certainly not somebody we should be going cap in hand to anyway. @inckley fox post in the last couple of pages summed this all up better than me. Winks has been proven to not be a particularly effective player in anything other than a system where we heavily dominated possession and had in general a team far better than than the competition at the time. He's lacking defensively, isn't really creative in a conventional sense, hardly ever scores. He's got one thing he's good at and it's not actually all that effective when you take it out of a team that had far better players than the opposition. We also don't dominate the midfield battle with him playing either. I could understand some of the pass he gets if he didn't have the track record he does. Unfortunately because of the shambolic recruitment and total neglect of this position (which people on here were telling me at the time wasn't an issue) we go cap in hand to him.
  18. Amartey wasn't good but he was comfortably better than Okoli. Amartey never quite served this up in the Championship.
  19. I am a little bit of a stats nerd at times. Do find expected goals interesting, but this season flash scores have added an even deeper version - expected goals on target (xGOT) interesting as well which basically measures the expected goals based on the shots on target - the quality of shots. It's a good way to measure a goalkeepers shot stopping. The data... good gracious me. However bad you think we are, we're even worse. What we've conceded is about right. I've got us down as conceding based on the shots faced... 55.62. We've let in 56. What we've scored is the alarming bit. We've scored 47 goals which is decent, but based on our shot quality, we should have scored 38 goals. We've benefitted from bad goalkeeping against us more often than we realise. In terms of shot stopping our goalkeepers have been pretty average on the whole. Number of games we've produced xGOT of under 1.00 in a game out of 35... 18. Compared to just 8 times against us. We've also 'lost' by this metric in our last FOURTEEN games. Fourteen! Ipswich, funnily enough, the last time we 'won'. We've 'won' on quality of shots taken just 11 times in 35 games. Conclusion is as I suspected = we're actually fortunate to even be 22nd. We could very easily have scored fewer goals than we have done. If our goalkeepers were actually as bad as made out we would literally have about 25 points. I just cannot believe this is a team that can stay up. It's absolutely atrocious. Diabolical.
  20. I make it 35 yep. In interests of fairness he came at half time of Southampton away in 2024 when 2-0 down and we won. But our record with him on the pitch is genuinely rubbish, it's worse than without him.
  21. I do agree, but I genuinely don't ever see our fans doing what theirs did away here. Our potential is capped. Even if we had a phoenix club I think a sizeable number would still want it to still have some sort of tribute to KP in it. Flaccid fanbase.
