  1. Pretty much agree with that. I couldn't really define what Cifuentes was doing. Was no obvious style whatsoever. Just 4-2-3-1 every game, no real speed to it, no link ups. Just a load of nothing. Wasn't dissimilar to Cooper.
  2. Cifuentes was rubbish but don't think him and Martin really play the same style.
  3. Look how long a period of time it stretches over as well. This is why I can fully see the likes of Ayew being renewed.
  4. Yeah that "was there for 2016" thing always makes me laugh. A terrible argument and you may as well be arguing for Ranieri to be our manager again. All his interview did was reveal what anybody cynical would've thought about him. He hasn't got a clue and his priorities are wrong.
  5. Kante is a freak example in the way Vardy always used to get brought up when we had a signing that had started slowly. Whatever the answer is, I know it isn't the Skipp-James combination in a 4-2-3-1 and I think the business we've done has essentially locked us into that - while still retaining at least one of either a finished Ricardo, or hopeless Thomas at full back.
  6. Disgraceful thing to say. The level of gaslighting and what an absolute slap in the face to that squad, to Claudio Ranieri, to Pearson, Walsh, Shakespeare who helped construct things. All to protect an arsekissing fraud like Rudkin.
  7. Has Skipp at any point here ever played in a team that has had anybody behind him? He's too lightweight to be your destroyer. You put an Ndidi in that team in that position and you have a different situation. Winks has never been this player either - a good ball recycler, but he isn't good defensively. Reid isn't good enough. Again, like Skipp, a lightweight player. If he doesn't score a goal, he offers you very little. We can't keep goals out because we have absolutely no structure in front of the defence. Nelson has been a disappointment, Okoli is extremely hit and miss, Vestergaard isn't great, Faes was a clown. But they all have this problem in common. The lack of incoming full back is a huge problem. A massive failing and it astounds me anybody could think otherwise. It's a huge bottleneck in our team no matter who you play.
  8. Full backs are a massive problem. I would seriously think now about putting Aluko in at right back - we're simply too slow as a team and Ricardo I'm sorry to say just cannot hack it anymore. Thomas is simply nowhere near good enough and shouldn't be considered for selection. Have a couple of round pegs in those round holes and I think you see improvement pretty much all over. Defensive midfield - again, huge problem. But I'm saying this again as somebody who would have Winks completely isolated. Skipp is injured, I've no idea how long for, Choudhury is now injured as well and it sounds like a long one. People are pointing to the clean sheet record for a need for centre backs but I've seen suggestions of a midfield of James, Mukasa and Aribo to sit in front of them. That record won't be going away any time soon if that's the answer. Skipp has improved but I think the odds get completely stacked against him as James' attacking is leaving him pretty isolated. In my ideal world I'm probably dropping the number 10 (which is never happening now we've got four!) and playing Skipp, new DM and James in a 4-3-3. The main reason we aren't keeping the goals out is because our full backs are hopeless and there's virtually no protection in midfield. I'm not convinced by the centre backs but I don't think they're in a good place in our current set up, yet we seem to have just doubled down on it. Lascelles will flop for the same reason the other CBs are struggling. If our team was... Goalkeeper* Aluko - Nelson - Vestergaard - NEW NEW James - Skipp Fatawu - NEW* - Mavididi I don't think we become 'good' but I don't think we're relegated. I still think it's totally plausible after this recruitment. Goalkeeper I'd been backing Stolarczyk but it's becoming impossible to now. Striker I think of Ayew, Daka and Richards, your best bet is still likely to be Daka, and I expect Ayew will still start. I agree with you about the physicality - it's a massive collective problem in the team, and it has been for years.
  9. An absolute minimum of 12 signings.
  10. Three top priorities for sure were: Left back Defensive midfielder Striker Looks like it's two attacking midfielders (taking us to four - pretty much locking us into a system that has yielded nothing but garbage all season), a centre back and a young striker without a senior appearance. Thomas pretty much has the keys at left back. Frightening. Expect Richards makes under 5 starts for us. I fear Ayew also has the keys. Also frightening. Midfield totally neglected = desperation for a dickhead who has shown contempt for the club for the majority of his time here. Appalling. So we've scrambled around as per usual on deadline day, taken the lost property and have probably fixed 0.5 of our 3 issues. Truly appalling. But par for this regime.
  11. Would've taken him once upon a time but very sceptical over his lack of gametime and injury record. Problem is virtually every pro and con you list with a signing of ours these days - the cons seem to be the more important.
  12. There really aren't words for this club anymore.
  13. If Evans played for Chelsea and Richards played for Leicester, we would prioritise Evans. That's the fundamental problem. This lad may be good, but he has absolutely no track record in senior football. This makes him as big a gamble.
  14. I mean I suppose he isn't proven shite like Aribo. But do tend to agree with those saying why not just promote Evans.
  15. True. There is probably something in what was said in here about Whelan. She was flawed but she probably patched up the sheer level we're actually dealing with here somewhat.
  16. Each passing day I really do wonder if Aiyawatt took some offence to something our fans said/did and decided to just decimate everything on purpose. It would explain a lot.
  17. He isn't a DM in any way shape or form.
  18. Kristiansen is rubbish but he's at least better than League Two level. It has to be him. Nobody else in the squad can perform that role above the level of League Two, maybe except Aluko, but he's needed on the right.
  19. Agents clearly haven't found one for us. We probably don't make specific requests to them - we probably just wait to see what they offer us. No left back. No striker. No holding midfielder. Absolutely preposterous. They're taking the ****ing piss.
  20. It's been a dream of a fixture for years. It's absolutely everything you would love as an opposition.
  21. Yep. Track records matter. They've been spot on about all of the rest of the dog shit we've relieved them of so I'll trust them over proven failures like those responsible for our transfers. Our entire 'process' is just waiting for the agents to give us whatever they've got left over. Lucky dip. Lost property. It's a joke of a signing. Almost eerie similarities to what our fans say about Soumare. Big wages. Not a priority position. Completely done with pretending this will be anything other than a shit signing.
  22. Surprised at that. I've not had a lot of issues personally when I've parked near to the ground. Also if you look at the pig out box () there's a fair bit of street parking around there. Got a mate who supports them and parked there when I went to a game of theirs a few years ago. Got stuck in the most absurd rain storm ever on the walk back to the car, didn't dry until I got home.
