They must've been offside about 6 times here.

That is exactly my fear - to me seeing this half would make it even more unforgivable.

It's a ridiculous defence on paper but going through the XI it's probably stronger than against Burton. Howell, Page, Aluko, Chaplin are all better than what we've been playing there.

Actually a decent half tbh. Midfield is the big difference.

Page hardly getting a minute last season is why I don't give the likes of Cifuentes and Rowett a free pass. They had better options and choose to ignore them.

McCarthy is a naughty one, I agree really, but he looks shot to bits to me, if we shook hands it'd make sense to me. I guess he can stay but as backup. The rest of the list - it's so long. We needed pretty much all of those gone. We've got no chance of it now.

I think this is true of a lot of our players. Leicester to them are synonymous with low performance, underachievement, relegation, losing. It's why the nuclear clearout option was the only real one that could change things around. But obviously the useless idiots still value penny pinching.

Mavididi to Stoke would be hilarious. They're finally going down this year. He can secure his third in a row.

Another left back to compete with McFarlane. A holding midfielder in - maybe two if Page goes. Then another striker. So potentially 9 departures, and 7 incomings needed, with just a week left. It's totally unrealistic to achieve this at this point, but that's what should've been the aim.

I agree with people saying he's better than Skipp but I don't know how many times we need to be let down by these players to realise they basically all need to be binned. There is such a cycle with our players. The phases are: 1. Collapse to pathetic defeat at home 2. One of the subs is less embarrassing than the players who started 3. Fans start thinking said player is the option going forward 4. Manager agrees, starts said player 5. Said player involved in the next pathetic defeat. Judging by this thread we have just entered phase 3. This happens with nearly all of our players. Okoli, Skipp, Choudhury, Bob the biggest culprits. If we keep Choudhury there will come a point where Skipp starts this process as well.

He has fallen down the pecking order of players I'd get rid of, but he is still firmly on it. We should be looking to move the following on in the next week: Faes Thomas Souttar Okoli Bob Mavididi Choudhury Skipp What I'd personally do with these is attempt to sell them, then attempt to loan them out if no sale is forthcoming. If nobody takes them on loan, I'd be keeping them around until the end of September, running them out for the indignity of playing against Fulham U21 and then terminating their contracts.

Skipp. Even Soumare's not fallen quite as far, though he isn't far behind. Skipp's performances so far in literal League One have swung me back to thinking he will be retired by 30.

Still remember us being linked with Sanchez when he was at Brighton. Was for mental money as well. You cannot believe how Chelsea can spend this much and still be this bad in such a crucial position.

The biggest worry is the two players he worked with before look ill-fitted to how he wants to play.

He's comfortably worse, and Stolarczyk is far from ideal.

I think this is the bit I really struggle to come to terms with and it isn't a new issue. There's this in-built arrogance at the club that has manifested under this owner, almost as if we are 'above' these basic fundamental things that exist at virtually every other professional team. We don't need to run hard, we'll just outplay them. We don't need to be strong, we're just better than them. This has happened as far back as the Rodgers days.

I completely agree. I expect an absolute maximum of 3 signings to arrive. At least one of them will be 35+. At least one of them will be in one of the positions I didn't list. McFarlane being on the bench at Notts County, but not starting Burton is worrying to me. He cannot possibly be worse at football than Thomas.
