  1. Yunus not in the Turkey squad? Still not fit?
  2. As awful as we were last season, Everton could arguably have been worse had they not signed players that led then to break the rules.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/16/quiz-can-you-identify-these-former-football-grounds I got 8. It's tricky (except for one!).
  4. Plenty of clubs go into administration. Why is it any different just because it's Everton? They have been found guilty of breaking rules. If they hadn't (broken the rules) it most probably would've meant relegation and the loss of revenue (and job losses) that other clubs have had to suffer due to their cheating. Their actions have led to other clubs suffering. Everton are not a special case.
  5. I suspect that any legal action will be stalled until after this season finishes. Therefore administration and a further 9 point reduction will be saved for a future season to lessen the effect.
  6. Jeez, Urban. I just come down to eat my breakfast and I'm now choked up over me Ready Brek.
  7. Why Everton points deduction sent shockwaves through the Premier League - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67459084
  8. This is on the other thread as well... https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/37546227/leicester-city-efl-agree-ffp-settlement-2013-14-breach
  9. I think that it was accepted that rules had been interpreted differently and due to the ambiguity a lesser punishment applied. No suggestion of cheating. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/37546227/leicester-city-efl-agree-ffp-settlement-2013-14-breach
  10. Clearly they couldn't and another reason why compensation is applicable.
  11. So why wasn't the 10 point deduction applied last season?
  12. Everton fans are full of it. They reckon they've picked on the wrong club. It's just not fair.
  13. But FFP was an issue. The points deduction should've been applied last season. It will have little effect on this season.
  14. Can we have a merged thread on this please, mods? All this swapping is making me dizzy.
  15. I think it's the timing of the 10 point deduction that will be crucial. Had it happened last season then both clubs would be in different leagues now. That is factual.
  16. Surely if EFC have to pay £300m compensation they will go into administration. Then if bankruptcy follows the creditors (including LCFC, possibly) will then own part of their assets including their new stadium.
  17. Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankley Have you heard of the North Bank, Highbury? Shanks says No, I don't think so But I've heard of the Leicester, Boot Boys
  18. The Leatherhead Lip, slagging us off pre-match before the days when it became customary to say nice gentle things about the forthcoming opponent. Often wondered why boxers don't try that to play a bit of mind games. Don't suppose it would sell tickets though.
  19. How can you not get excited when we have a new young centre forward about to make his debut. Really looking forward to seeing him play.
  20. All of our big sales in recent times (not N'golo or Mahrez) left with the LCFC curse. I've believed for some time that it really is a thing.
  21. I'll give you that but most of it seems to be outsiders telling the world how great Liverpool is. The locals need to be patronised else they get upset.
  22. If it ain't Yorkshire it's shite. Never known another place where the inhabitants need to tell anyone that will listen about great it is.
  23. Don't think the injured player has to go off if the offender gets yellow carded?
