If his MotD contract expires at the end of this season then his residency comes to a natural end. No need for any removal drama.

Not sure if he wanted to leave or not despite what he's said. He must've known that coming out with controversial opinions on sensitive topics was going to attract debate. Perhaps badly advised or thought the public would like him more. He does seem to be a character that likes to have an arm put around him. Appears the BBC have taken on board the chance to remove their highest paid employee following disquiet from licence payers. From what I can gather he wasn't offered a new contract so the choice wasn't his.

I think that option 2 is a decent compromise. Almost makes it a 2-tier stand adding a bit of character and, hopefully, the bottom half is eventually converted. Less forever STH's would be asked to move so less friction.

Good opportunity to rebrand it as the Vardy Stand. Would've said Vichai but a single stand in his name isn't enough.

Also to add, I'd like to see the 'Kop' renamed to something more original. For the more mature fan, the Kop was left behind at Filbert St and what we have now has never compared. Wasn't it named the Fosse Stand originally? That'll do.

I don't think that standing is simply the motivation for some. It's more about being close up to away fans for the 'banter'. Not sure the L1'ers will want to be in the Kop even if they can stand.

Not sure about for a club our size. No other club has better facilities than us and being the size we are should perhaps give better opportunities for decent prospects to break through.
