  1. No socials in those days. Just newspapers, limited radio and grainy telly pictures pre video recorders. The LCFC story was unstoppable worldwide. Those walking down to the stadium in 2016 would've seen the world's media gathered. Even Americans can pronounce Leicester now, even Tom Hanks. The World Famous City, and it's not Nottingham.
  2. 20, 30, 50, 100 years, the tragedy will still be significant. It won't be forgotten what ever happens to King Power, nor should it be.
  3. Many of our fans don't grasp English football culture. I'm still seeing an alarming amount of clappers being used. The same that like to dance about to goal music. Each to their own, they pay the same as I do.
  4. Consider the standard of their Leagues. Euro competition was very poor during that era which saw English clubs win the old European Cup 7 times out of 8 seasons. Clough never won the FA Cup which was a higher standard.
  5. I go back to 1971 (I was a nipper on the Main Stand enclosure wall). That night has never left me. Any road, it's 41 all at the moment.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leicester_City_F.C.–Nottingham_Forest_F.C._rivalry
  6. Pochettino hasn't given up on the 2016 title as they had more possession.
  7. The headline itself is problematic. 'Traumatised' sounds very alarmist and not necessary. The BBC have lost their way in some aspects. Doesn't seem to matter what the ethnicity of the officer is. If the deceased is non-black then we don't get the media whipping up a frenzy. For example.... https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-bristol-51932465
  8. Not gone too well at Selhurst Park since he left. Palace were getting some big results towards the end of last season with him in the team and they've bombed since he left. He'd probably be worth more than £3m to Palace in their current circumstances.
  9. I get the feeling they most likely won't be taking it further but want to leak out snippets to keep a cloud hanging over it (and us).
  10. Sky eventually got rid of Beagrie. Always had the same prepared script. Always had us down as a set piece team eventhough we hadn't scored from one since the Brian Little days. Dope. Nigel was right.
  11. Winning the old European Cup (not the Champions League) was easier than winning the FA Cup in those days. Winning the First Division was the hard part (which they didn't manage for the second time). English clubs won the European Cup 7 out of 8 seasons during that period. Clough never won the FA Cup. NottsF fans love it when you tell them that.
  12. Just don't get why some call them Florist. Is that an insult? Makes them sound flowery and fragrant. Snotters or Snotties. Or just simply Notts Forest will do.
  13. Half the ground were singing 'you don't know what you're doing' towards the ref at the Bournemouth match last week in an identical situation.
  14. If that was non-consequential then it gives the green light to defenders to shirt hold in every situation where an attacker might be approaching a dangerous position. Next week it will be interpreted differently. Much like the handball rule, no one knows what is or isn't a penalty anymore. They don't make it easy for themselves.
  15. Getting warmed up for the Notts Forest line up announcement...
  16. Apparently the Southampton fans were cheering on Ramsdale's time wasting and then going ape as the ref allowed the corner to be taken in the 98th minute. Karma.
  17. Seems they are blaming the ref as much as their manager. One example... Feel a bit sorry for RM as the referee was bent as a nine bob note. Missed everything, bookings were a joke. VAR should have looked at the Vardy foul on Suga as let's face it, he has previous with injuring people. https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/topic/61138-saints-2-3-leicester-match-thread/page/14/
  18. Southampton fans going crazy about the ref and blatant decisions in our favour. Really?
  19. Not seen the pictures. Was the penalty a clear and obvious?
  20. Are we not expecting Souyhampton to br given a soft pen or another VAR offside 'mistake'?
  21. PSR will raise its ugly head again if the management team are sacked. Won't be cheap but will cost less than relegation. Are King Power up for the gamble?
