Whatever division were in, if we can build the team around El Khannous we're on the right track. What's more likely to happen is that we sell him and Hermansen for money, stuck with a lot of deadwood and average has beens and then mess up the reinvestment into the squad. We need to develop a strong spine of the team. All the successful teams have them. We have two of the parts currently (Mads and Bilal). Okoli could become part of a strong central defence (with the need to replace Faes, Vestergaard and Coady). And we need a dominant, reliable striker. We can't just rely on Vardy to whack out 90mins 3x in a week. It's not possible this season and certainly won't be next. If we want to be a serious club again we have to get rid of the following at any cost, even if it's at a loss: Ward Faes Vestergaard Coady Skipp Winks Ayew Reid Daka Thomas Justin Hamza McAteer I don't know how that adversely affects the homegrown numbers in the club, if that even matters. But then there comes the involvement of youth (Alves, Braybrooke, Monga, Evans, Nelson...). Have an actual rebuild of the club. It's worth taking such a risk because we can't rely on any of the above any more.

Diaz should be booked for diving for that Agadou challenge.

Agree with this. I think fans are being overly-critical as he didn't do anything glaringly wrong (barring being out of position for the counter when we were stretched anyway). As for some saying Thomas is better than him, I think that's purely reactionary. I'd rather have Kristiansen than Thomas all day long.

Similarly to what Kristiansen is criticised for the second goal, he looks twice at Merino before the cross comes in, then for some reason points to Soumare (?) to mark him even though he'll have to cover Trossard behind him. Why is he passing the responsibility on to another player? That seems his default thing to do.

Mavididi is the alternative in that position.
