I think the reason why many fans say other teams 'around us' are better, is because they seem to be able to score, fight to stay within games and actually pose a threat going forward. Anyone watching us sees us as an easy target. At least Ipswich and Wolves, for the most part, make it difficult for opposition. They have some talent within their squad that managers seem to get the best out of (Wolves have Cunha; Ipswich have Delap). The saving grace being as much as they fight and challenge opposition, they're still getting beaten. How we aren't cut adrift like Southampton is mad.

I could look at the ball for a sliding tackle but if I was late, I'm late. Miss the ball, take the player out. Usual yellow in most cases. Jota should have been sanctioned.

They've been against Levy for AGES. It's on a different level although the sentiment is still the same between fan/owners.

Pretty much, yes. Everyone, including myself, can bang on about other teams losing or dropping points. But it means square root of fvck all if we're not actually getting the points on the board as well. Not even a smash and grab shithouse win, a last-minute goal to rescue a draw, a convincing victory, a clean sheet for starters!! It's a recipe for relegation when you simultaneously struggle to score and leak goals for fun. Even when we play weakened teams, we struggle. We can't seem to keep fitness or concentration for a full 90 minutes which is the most basic of things to contribute to our downfall. Some players become passengers, others are relied upon too much so try too hard. A manager whose in-game management is questionable and seems pretty rigid when it comes to formation, an unwillingness to change. Hard to see where the next win comes from. Or even a draw. Even though Arsenal are 2nd, we'll probably find it's harder to play Brentford on Friday night because of the quality of the team we're facing. Hard to even see where the next clean sheet comes from. Can't think of many teams that have conceded as much as we have and survived, or the inability to keep a clean sheet for so long and survive. Players and staff probably already know they have to score 2 just to draw a game, and 3 to win it at the very least. Already puts us on a back footing. And the players available is just a whole different story that goes beyond the manager because that particular damage was done in the summer... It's pretty depressing, really.

Glad we played and beat Spurs when we did but how we haven't beaten Utd so far this season is embarrassing. This game is so stretched and scrappy. Surprised it's still 1-0.
