Same. Was clear we needed some fresh legs up top or on the wing and some impetus of some kind. Ran out of ideas and he'd have been a good option.

Today vs Leeds was very poor. As good as he was against Sunderland, it was the complete opposite today. I hope he improves and regains some confidence in this side so that we can benefit from it, but it has to be several levels above what he showed tonight.

I can't fathom why his performance in the 2nd half suddenly dropped off after such an electric first half. Not sure why he stopped running at him. Even when Summerville hadn't tracked back and it was a 1 on 1 with a full back on a yellow, he'd slow it down. Was desperate for him to score as he was our best player first half, and most likely to make something happen.

Ref was crap. Got quite a few decisions wrong and the linesman wasn't much better. How Summerville and Choudhury end up with the same punishment for what happened is beyond me too. Summerville slams Hamza down to the ground and not one of the ref, linesman or 4th official see it as a red. Weak as piss. Not the worst we've had this season but not exactly anything special. Couple of times just casually chatting to players and missing their players time wasting as they trudge off the pitch.

Annoying to lose that. Not at the races compared to them. Leeds deserved to win as they nullified us and had the kind of game plan we would execute away at a big side. Fatawu was electric first half. Part of me thinks he was told to calm it after half time and if that is the case, it's absolutely bewildering considering he had the beating of Byram and that Byram was on a yellow. I can't think of any other reason he wouldn't try to take Byram on more. Might have got knackered towards the end of the second half but his regression began straight after half time. Shame as deserved a goal based on that first half. Casadei not good enough. Several other players just average. Thought we could have pushed on after the first half as we just needed to execute the final ball better. But we came out as if we were scared and shocked at them pressing us high. In reality we're probably fortunate they were wasteful in front of goal given how many times we gave it away. Need to improve a lot for next Saturday to get back on track.

Disappointed in him today and wasn't impactful in any sense. Just ambled around. Not what we needed against opposition like Leeds. Some of the fancy stuff he tried was stupid. Not the thing to try. Midfield enforcements needed with Ndidi out.

I was a big fan of him, watched him in the A-league and he did stand out to be fair. Sadly doesn't seem to have hit the heights expected of a referee here.

Isn't Gillett the same one that sent off Lemina a while back? Quite interesting how some clubs can demand they don't get the same refs again, but Wolves, for example, will probably continue to get Gillett unless they kick up a huge fuss...

They have such a likeable team as well. I like their mid-innings huddles they do every now and then to seemingly recollect and take stock of where they are.

Possibly. I think I said Clarke was their main threat and if we can handle him we'll be fine. But Leeds have considerably more threats!

Not searching, just a gut feeling which I hope I'm wrong about! I have confidence that Maresca would have covered all bases to overcome Leeds, but then I think Leeds are coming into some form and create lots of chances, and their attack is very potent especially with Summerville and Rutter. I hope we have the sharpness and slickness in our game to beat them. It'd be so satisfying!
