He's a weak manager who probably couldn't believe his luck when he got the job, because nothing he has done in his career would suggest he should be even considered for it. I genuinely think our clueless senior leadership thought we'd just have a repeat of 2023/24 and we'd romp to promotion playing a similar style of play and he's probably gone with the senior players over youth because of it. A stronger manager would have initiated a rebuild of sorts and got rid of the likes of Faes and Winks during the summer at all costs; playing these two all season has gotten Marti very close to the sack (you'd think). We are months behind because only now, after seemingly falling out with Winks, he's got what appears to be his best team available to him playing. He's still got to go for me, but if he is to have a future here, we need some proper consistency over the Christmas period.

Bigger and stronger manager would have started the season with him and moved aside the likes of Faes and Winks.

So there we have it, a bad apple as we knew last season when RVN found him out. How he was ever given a second chance at the club, we'll never know, appalling leadership at the club.

He's not the answer long term, but let him enjoy his win. As has been said, he's finally rooting out the bad apples who were going to get him the sack.
